Reasonable room and rate

Staff was friendly, room was clean. Rates were reasonable. slight smell of paint in the bathroom, I suspect they had been fixing it up. Complimentary breakfast was OK. Close to airport and very close to I87. No complaints about this room or hotel; I would stay here again. stay here again.

Friendly Place For People and Pets

The staff was great, both at check in and check out. We were at a dog show in Ballston Spa and this hotel was convenient without the price tag of the race weekend Saratoga hotels. Very close to shopping centers. Room was clean, but bathroom needed some grout work done. Typical for the damp summer that we have had. The pet friendly building was set apart from the others by the pool and had a nice place to walk our dogs without being a worry to other guests. The breakfast was good and check in and out was a snap. Definitely returning next year!!

Track record is good,but...

Have stayed in this hotel probably 12 times in past 3-4 years. Always have been satisfied, with a rare problem seeking added linens or towels. Overall very good. Had one incredible bad visit Spring 2005, with family in several rooms. The weekend was one series of events of bad housekeeping, missed service opportunities, undertrained desk staff, broken furniture, mangled reservations. At end of the weekend, and after several weeks, I was able to establish contact with the hotel general manager, who was sincerely interested in the details of y misadventure weekend, as well as taking significant efforts to remediate my frustration and disappointment. Overall rating B- to B at this point, but I am willing to stay here again, based on total experiences.
