dont stay at this unprofessional hell hole

Do not stay at this unprofessional hellhole! My husband, my 4 yr old son, and I vacationed in the Kingston area and chose this hotel because of its indoor pool. We paid for two nights, because on the second day my husband went skiing on a mountain about an hour's drive away, and my son and I were left to swim in the pool for the day. This would have been a great plan except when my son and I changed into our suits and headed for the pool, it was closed, with no sign or anything else. I headed to the front desk and it turned out that the lifeguard had not shown up and the pool was closed for the day. What kind of hotel does not have a back-up lifeguard?? Since my husband had taken the car to the mountain, and the pool was closed, there was nothing for my son and I to do for the day. So I asked for my money back for the second night, which we had not yet stayed for, and for a discount on the previous night. I was given my money back for the second night and was told that they would not give me a discount for the previous night. Then I explained that although I was checking out, I had no place to go until 6pm when my husband came back from the mountain, and I asked if I could stay in the hotel room. The manager refused, so I told her I would be waiting in the lobby, because it was 15 degrees outside. Again the manager refused, and became very agitated and told me if I did not leave the property by noon she would call the cops on me. With no place to go, with a 4 yr old son, and with 4 bags of luggage, I decided to wait in my room. I called a few people on my cell, because I could not get in contact with my husband. Then my cell phone began to die, so I gave several people the hotel number and my room number. My brother called the front desk of the hotel and they connected him to my room and LISTENED IN ON MY CALL! Talk about INVASION OF PRIVACY! When I heard the baby in the background, (a baby that I later saw at the front desk) and asked my brother if he had a child in his home, the front desk hung up. At around 12 the phone rang in my room and it was the manager asking me to leave. Again I told her I had no place to go and asked her if I could stay in the lobby. Again she told me no, and that if I didn't leave she would call the cops. Now, with no place to go, and no way of getting in contact with my husband, I decided to wait for the cops. Around 12:30 my brother called again, but the front desk would not put him through. Now if these people really wanted me to leave, don't you think they would have put my calls through so I could try and arrange for someone to pick me up? No, the management at that hotel are nothing but a bunch of animals, and I was treated like I was an animal. At 1pm the front desk calls and tells me I have to leave, again I tell them that I have no place to go. Finally they agree to let me sit in the lobby with all of my bags, and my son, for the remainder of the time with no TV. This would not have been a big deal if it was just me, but I have a 4 yr old boy. There was absolutely nothing for him to do. Finally my husband called around 130 and arranged for us to stay at another hotel and for transportation. I was ecstatic to be leaving this awful hotel and its employees who brought me to tears on several occasions. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy. This experience caused much stress, as I did not wish for confrontation with the police in front of my 4 yr old. I cannot emphasize enough the rudeness and inconsiderateness of the hotel staff, especially the manager.
