Holiday Inn Gloversville, Johnstown

Very disappointed. Rooms we booked were not the rooms we were sent to first, were then offered rooms we reserved but third floor no elevator to get luggage up there and our group would have been split up, even though we called ahead and were assured we were all set. Husband cut foot on glass in the carpet on our floor. Niece cut her foot on grounds, found glass shards in hallway going to one of our other rooms. Staff not real helpful, kept saying "sorry" but no real actions taken to rectify problems other than vacuuming our room and hallway after reporting glass. Found pill on floor in our room after room vacuumed after finding glass in it. Construction going on very loud, no indication remodeling going on when booked or called. I would not recommend this hotel. Put a star on this only because you have to in order to post. Only good thing was the restaurant and staff. Staff not very friendly on top of it all. Other hotels in the area with easy access.
