another year at this paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/09
we live in long island so it is a hour trip to lake george. the trip is worth it. the lake is beautiful. ci has its own private piece of the lake and beach. the staff will take you on many bating adventures. most free. some with a very small price. the food is amazind. 4 coarse dinners, an buffet, and a dinner on the private island. bring your appetite to these gorgeous meals. children will love the activities offered. these activities are handled und a activity director. there is music entertainment for adults and children. plus a talent show featuring magic patti. a great experience!

Best Vacation Ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/08
My family and I have been going to CIL for 10 years and we still can't find a single thing to complain about. The staff is very welcoming and friendly right from the start. And you always have something to do, from tubbing and skiing, to going to the private island or sailing. Cil over the years has become my families home away from home! We love it!

Many years on the lake!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/07
We have been here for about 15 consecutive summers. We have never been disappointed. It is a totally relaxing experience with new things being added all the time. The location is beautiful on the lake, food is great. Most importantly, the staff lets you relax and have a good time. KB

Fall Wedding
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/06
The CIL was the site of our daughters rehearsal party (on their private island), wedding ceremony, reception, and post ceremony breakfast, and we could not have been happier. We booked the entire facility, making the event a private four day party. The location is spectacular, the staff is "go out of their way to please you" friendly, the food is fantastic, the rooms are unique...everything from authentic log cabins to modern lakefront suites, and the memories will last forever. Guest comments were all outstanding, with many saying they would come back for personal vacations. This is the place to go on Lake George. Ken and Mary Gilkes

Second time & I will be back next year..
By Mary, 07/11/05
That you never have to leave the place to enjoy yourself. There is always something to do & the meals were excellent. This time I had room off the lake. Every morning I awoke, I went to the balcony & the view of the mountains & the lake just took my breath away. What more could anyone ask for. My grandchildren also love CIL & that made my enjoyment complete.

An excellent resort on an excellent lake
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/06/05
Everything about this resort is excellent, the location the history, the activities. When I went as a kid all that my siblings, we would have a blast just swimming. The water is crystal clear. The Island is unbelievable when Bill Busch was running the lodge every winter he would bring a dump trucks of sand over to the island and but it on the beach, because of this kids can feel like there going out far with out going over 4', I don't doubt that Tom and Carla Burhoe still do the same thing. All in all this resort is a great place from the food, to the accomedations, to the owners and their family who make you feel at home, to the activities that will keep your kids occupied all day.

Going back again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/02/05
This is a very family oriented place. It is super kid friendly and there is an overall feeling of relaxation while staying here. You never have to leave the compound and the kids are busy all day every day. I've traveled a great deal and this was one of the most relaxing fun vacations I have ever experienced!

Family Style Resort
By Luigi, 07/08/04
This is one terrific family resort. If you are looking for a luxurious resort with all of the bells and whistles, CIL is definitely not your style. The facilities are clean, the food is good and plentiful, the youthful staff is full of personality, and the location cannot be beat. The waterfront is exceptional- the boat staff (boat boys)will sail, ski, tube, and cruise you on Lake George. Attire is casual, very casual; evening entertainment is not great, but kids are usually wiped out by 9:00 anyway. CIL owns their own island in the middle of the Lake - be sure to catch the island barbeques. Don't waste your days at the amusement parks or in the village - the best day in Lake George is at CIL.
