6 reviews for Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown Hotel, Albuquerque
Very disappointing
By laura, 04/10/06
Staying at the Sheraton Uptown was a very disappointing experience. Another teacher and I were hoping for a wonderful experience for the six teenage girls we were sponsoring at a conference. We could not get an internet rate because of paying with a P.O. Our rooms were not what we reserved. We had to changed rooms which caused the need for two roll-aways and one girl to sleep on the couch. The sheets on the couch were filthy. One room had a pile of animal excrement under the desk. We were compensated with a continental breakfast served on dirty plates.

depends!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/02/06
The beds were nice, people were nice and the restaurant was good. We reserved our room on hotwire for $52. We were on the fifth floor and the carpet in the hallway was bad and bumpy. The room was roomy. Needs updating. Wallpaper torn, phone wiring ripped out of wall, bathroom tub falling apart. Although, the lobby has a board displaying a renovation plan for sep 2006, which is needed. Paying for the internet was a bit much being that you can cross the street and get it for free. Free newspaper daily.

Would not stay again.
By Steven, 09/29/05
The check-in process went smooth and the lobby areas make the hotel look attractive. Our room was on the sixth floor. Upon exiting the elevator I noticed the carpet was dirty and lumpy and stains and tears on the wall. The beds were great, the little TV in the torn up entertainment center was not so great. The charge for a bottle of water in the room already and for internet was it's downfall. The view was great from the room and would have been better with a clean window. Upon check-out the staff were unresponsive, no good morning, have a nice day. We just left.

Badly needs renovation
By John Mark, 08/15/05
This hotel was probably very nice 25 or 30 years ago, but it badly needs some attention. We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of a road-trip out west and 1 night at the end, staying in 2 different rooms. Neither shower drained so we ended up standing in water up to our ankles each time we showered--YUCK! The rooms themselves aren't terrible, but do need updating (I didn't know people still had tiny 19" TVs). The carpet in the hallways was badly stained and in need of replacing.

Great experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/05
The staff was very friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and the sweet sleeper beds were very comfortable. We liked the location -near a mall and not far from HWY I-40 or I-25. We would stay here again in the future.
