Budget Host Raton, Raton

It is a very ordinary looking motel, but everything else is excellent! Clean, hospitaity, parking, etc

The room was very clean and spacious. The management was Very friendly. The parking lot is numbered, so you always get to park right outside your room. We will stay here every time we are in Raton.

A great place to stay for the price. Very clean and spacious rooms and the owners very hospitable and courteous. Will definately stay when I return next year to Raton. The beds are very confortable and when we returned in the afternoon the room was always cleaned and fresh towels available. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling thru Raton looking for a great place to stay.

We stayed here whilst enroute from Oklahoma City to Denver. Based on its low rate, AAA double diamond rating, and reviews we stayed there. CLEAN, NEAT, WELL MAINTAINED, & FRIENDLY and COURTEOUS SERVICE from the private owners made this overnight stop a pleasure. They don't have in-room wi-fi, ironing board & blow dryer but they're available. Our room, had a microwave, refrigerator, and steam bath feature (several rooms have it). The decor is 70's as I'd heard but very neat, clean, and well maintained. The continental breakfast is minimal, but you can get a coupler kinds of cereal, toast, coffee, juice, & milk to get you headed out the door. It was a great find and a great overnight stop.

We were on our way to CO to go snow skiing and stopped at this hotel enroute. We looked at the rooms before checking in and found them to be very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was OK (coffee, juice, cereal, bread, oatmeal,etc but no eggs or fresh fruits). For the value and cleanliness, we would stay there again.

The reservation over the phone was impeccably handled as was our late arrival. The room was spacious, per price, very clean, lighting was fine, shower was great ( not these weak showers that we see so often). The Steam stuff we didn't use but it looked great and would well have worked. The front office staff was most helpful, FRIENDLY(hint to other motels, there's nothing wrong with smiling), thoroughly professional and knowledgeable about the local area. We'll make a point of staying there again and also include Budget Host in the list of motel chains we look at when we travel. btw, the reviews are what made me consider the motel in the first place.

It may very well be a "nice" clean place but the discrepancy in rates offered for the same rooms is beyond "slight"! We booked our stay at this hotel online and received the lowest rate of $52.00. We gave the hotel phone number to our friends and they booked a room for the same time. When we all arrived to check in, their rate was 30% lower than ours! The proprieter assured us that they were unable to consider changing our rate as they have to pay the difference to the online companies. How very interesting. We would not have found Budget Host Raton if it was not for the internet and for sure our friends would not have known to book that hotel either.

Room was very clean. Not a lot of ammenties but a comfortable place to stay if you are looking for a night of sleep. Convenient to I-25 with easy access. Very nice people run this facility. Small to medium dogs allowed for only $2 per night. Will stay there again.

When calling location to inquire as to business dealing, was told "Not interested" and then just hung up on. No goodbye, no "Thank You", nothing. Would you waste your time on a place that doesn't treat everyone with common courtesy?? I wouldn't. GM should be reprimanded and sent out for training.

What a suprise! Great service, clean rooms, and an amazing steam shower. It is an older motel, but it is very well maintained. The bed was comfortable, but after the steam shower, I was so relaxed, I probably could have fallen asleep on the floor! I highly recommend anyone needing a motel room in Raton, to stay here. It is the best motel/hotel in Raton (I've stayed at them all.) and all for a low price!
