The hotel was great for the price. The location was perfect and the continental breakfast was good. Will definitely go back next visit through santa fe!

$135 a night, not worth half that
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/08
i read reviews here and other sites and this hotel (as all do) gets mixed reviews. i stayed here last week and hated every second of it. i made the reservation based on the beautiful website. the pictures they use on the site are all of the lobby, and are all very nice.... but NOTHING like the rooms. when i made my reservation, the lowest rate was $135 a night. i dont know when or where some posters here are getting rates of $55, but that would be the only way i would ever stay here again. this place was like a Motel 6, nothing like what i would have expected in Santa Fe for that much money. the rest of the week, we stayed at a Travellodge literally across the street for $60 a night. with the money we saved, i was able to do some of the things in Santa Fe i had wanted to do but couldnt before. the rooms at this place are tiny and the place itself... well i wouldnt stay here unless it was $50 a night. maybe.

I Would Stay Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
The place as a whole had no bells and whistles. Easy to find. The room we had was clean which is always a plus. The continental breakfast was good. A good deal for the price. I would stay again.

Terrible Service....Rude and Dismissive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/27/07
Will Never Go Back....Grossly Overpriced.....there are any number of hotels along Cerrillos Road that are half the price and twice as nice

Loved it!

Get the most bang for your buck @ The Sage Inn! Close to most things that you need to see in Santa Fe. The staff was great! The breakfast buffet was even greater! I would highly recommend the Sage Inn.

Not Bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/06
Our room was nicely decorated and in good condition. We were generously provided with free water. However, every TV channel was blurry and the bathroom door had no lock.

Pleasantly Surprised !
By Tammy, 05/24/06
The Sage Inn is under new management and going through a renovation. From reviews listed from 2004 I would say the Inn has made a 100% improvement. The service was wonderful and the staff was most helpful in suggesting resturants, sight seeing and directions. The rooms are not overly large, however deco and cleanliness more than compensate. The room had 2 queen beds, desk, tv, night stand, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, a beautiful rustic wood chair, New Mexico theme rug wall hangings, pillows, metal deco mirrors, and waste baskets. Everything was updated and fashionable. I had a room to myself (weekend get away) but I would not hesitate to bring my family of 4 (3 and 5 yr. old) to stay next time.

10-15 minutes walk
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/22/06
We stayed there one night in March. We called 2 hours prior to arrival, and they said that they have rooms available for 65.99. Since we found a coupon book (one of those in service area on highways), we took it with us. But when we got there, they said that "it has been crazy today, all the rooms are sold out, but we have a Delux room for 75.99." SO, we showed a coupon to them, and they said "Oh, we don't accept coupons on weekends." But this coupon did have a weekend rate. Since it was 8pm, we took it, but a parking lot was empty and it was still empty in the morning. Not many people for breakfast room either. Overall, it was not worth the price we paid-our "Delux" room was small and nothing different from regular room except for a little decoration around mirror(!), and bathroom was tiny with hairs here and there, and a pool was also tiny. If you can get this for $50 off-season, it's ok. Actually, travelodge was closer to plaza, and it was a half price.

Good hotel, great value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/25/06
The Sage Inn is currently undergoing a renovation. We were given an unrenovated room and it was more than fine - can't imagine how nice the renovated ones must be. Room was clean and in good repair. Bathroom looked dated (we assume the main focus of the renovation) but was also very clean and worked just fine. Breakfast was continental and had several choices with hard-boiled eggs, bagels and pastries, cereal, yogurt, juice, and coffee. An unexpected plus was free wireless in the room! Good value - we would definitely stay there again.

Will stay there again
By RobAlb, 02/02/06
The price is right, the rooms are basic, but I found nothing to complain about. Our travel goals were not geared for luxury, so the accomodations were ideally suited to our needs.
