Days Inn and Suites Mesilla Va, Las Cruces

Never again will I stay at this motel or tell anybody else to stay here. The rooms smelled like urine and the a/c only worked when it wanted to. I contacted the front desk and he stated it shoudl be working fine but he does not know. I than went to get in the bath and the shower stayed on the whole time. The washcloths had not even bleached they were more brown than white. The only good thing is it is right on I-10 for easy on and easy off.

the hotel itself was nice ...there was a nice restauraunt and bar attached. The lady up front was very rude. First they booked us a smoking room and since they were all booked up, "there was nothing they could do about it". She was not very nice, she was very short and seemed inconvenienced when we called to get directions to the hotel.

My wife and I are retired. My wife grows peppers so Las Cruces for the Pepper info Hatch, College, etc is one of the reasons why stayed there. But this time we were really disappointed. Here's what happened. We always make our res. way before hand. We always the same room because of my wife's back condition. We called a week before to confirm, verified. We got a different room for a day. Housekeeping was late in the afternoon 2:00+. We had to leave and come back just to kill time someplace then hope we stayed away long enough for housekeeping to finish eventhough we left at 9:30 am with tag on the door knob for service. When we got there we asked for a wireless modem and they gave us the only one left which was in bad shape so we had to buy one for $50 but still the connection was spotty although my wife could connect in there lobby where the wireless capabilities worked fine. The bathtub was clogged - calf deep - the whole time we were there - 5 days. Housekeeping said they turned in numerous workorders and nothing was ever done. Our room was infested with mosquitoes - wife alone received over 70 bites. Last and the worst, was "Eddie's", the resturant connected to thier motel. Don't go there. We went in at 5:05PM (they open at 5)ordered Salmon for my wife, steak for me. 5:35 the waitor comes back to tell us they don't have any salmon. (We are just about the only patrons there). My wife gives him an alternative one "he says he's really pushing we'll have our dinner in 5 minutes. Around 15-20 min. later still nothing. I finally got, the manager told her that we'll pay for the half drunk glass of wine and salad (from a basic salad bar). We paid them around ten dollars for that. I must say the pool and the spa were nice and clean and the temps. It could be a nice place if customer service was improved but stay away from Eddie's. Don't waste your $16.00 if you think your going get get an upscale meal

The hotel is well located and if you get the first floor level it's easy to get in and out. Hotel is clean, but the rooms are on the small side and the ac is noisy! we slept with the window ajar, but it was winter- not a posability for summer in Las Cruces. My diappointment was mostly because they serve no breakfast. The other best western in town serves a full breakfast and gives you free coctail welcome drink. Also there was no business center, alas you can get connected if you bring your laptop.

Overall an above average value priced hotel. Very good for the money. Best included breakfast we had on this trip. Best hotel pool on this trip too. The beds in our rooms were old and creaky, but not enough to stop us from sleeping OK. Recommended if you're staying in Las Cruces.
