The staff couldn't be nicer. By the way... they clean everything! I am going back ther in september for 5 nights!

Buyer Beware - Cash Only Policy
By Sam, 08/15/09
This hotel has a cash only policy. You make your reservation on a credit card and show up to pay with a credit card but they will not accept it and charge you for a cancellation. Stick with the other hotels that accept a credit card.

Lovely and immaculate Hotel
By , 09/15/08
We chose The Periwinkle without knowing anything about it. I think we made an excellent choice. The grounds are immaculate {which is in keeping with the entire town} as well as the rooms. The pool is wonderful, the ocean just steps away! Bring some snacks and drinks and enjoy a relaxing, comfortable stay. We plan to return next summer.

We highly recommend the Periwinkle Inn
By I, 07/25/08
Very friendly and accomodating staff. We had a beautiful view of the ocean on the third floor. We loved the fact that we had a room with a terrace, where we could relax and take in the pretty view of the courtyard. The room was clean, comfortable and decorated nicely. We especially liked the accesibility to everything in town. We would definitely come back and recommend the Periwinkle Inn to others.

The property is very well taken care of and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an oceanfront place to stay! I have booked my stay again there in July of this year.

Just like going home
By Terri, 04/24/08
We love going here just as often as we can. I love being able to park and leave my car. I love strolling on the boardwalk/beach and walking to shopping and restaurants. The best part for me is the staff. They are just like family! They are always glad to see me and my family remembering names and important events in our lives. We can't wait to go back and have a trip in the works for summer '08!

Beautiful Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/08
Our Stay at the Periwinkle Inn was excellent. Its great to be able to visit the beach and not have to worry about parking or traffic. This hotel was also located near shopping and restaurants. I recommend this site to anyone traveling to Cape May.

Have been going there my whole life!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/10/08
The Periwinkle Inn is a home away from home. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, or a vacation with the family. I have been going there since I was a child and now I bring my own children. The staff is friendly and remembers your name and even your special needs. It is steps from the beach, and the court/pool yard is set back from the street so you are not on display to passers by. There is grass for your children to play and a play house with a sand box. It is a short walk or trolly ride to all of the action that Cape May has to offer without the noise and the commotion that goes with being too close. The rooms are clean and the gardens are beautiful.I Love it there!!!

Not Worth the Money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/24/08
My family and I stayed here for a long weekend. They don't take credit cards or checks, so we had to carry a large amount of cash on us. When we asked for a receipt, the old ladies in the office were very rude to us, it seemed as though we were bothering them. It really made me wonder on the accounting practices! Our room smelled terrible like mold. The bathroom was dirty, there was hair caked on the floor. And then we found fruit loops all over the floor, pushed under the bed skirt (obviously they didn't really vacuum). We had to call for more towels (there were only 3?!) and they told us we would have to wait for a maid to be available, then pick them up at the front desk.

Absolute Pleasure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/17/07
Unlike a few of the other reviews I have read, I found the Periwinkle Inn to not only be affordable, but a relief as well. My husband and I try to make a few long weekend vacations a year, and it was an absolute delight to find such a quiant, hospitable place to stay. Unlike many of the high-rise, typical, cement-surrounding hotels we've stayed at, the Periwinkle Inn provided a comfortable room, relaxing views, and a staff eager to answer any questions we had. New to the Cape May area, the managers were very helpful (and on-point!) when they suggested restaurants to visit and places to check out in the area. Everything is in walking distance from the Periwinkle, and as we walked back at night, it was nice to come back to the one hotel that stood out on the whole street. The lighted pond, grassy area, sandbox and pool only made us wish we found this place sooner -- and when our kids could have enjoyed it as well! Keep it up, Periwinkle!
