Convenient and Clean - Nothing Fancy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/31/11
This motel is not fancy but clean and very convenient to the beach/Boardwalk/amusement piers. About a half block from the board and right in between the two Amusement piers. The people are friendly and the other guests are families so a good atmosphere for kids. We've been going there for years and it is exactly what you expect - a beach motor inn. Free fridge in the room so bring drinks, etc. Also towels for the beach/pool are not included so don't forget those! And cash for the beach badges/key deposit!

The name suits it; a pavilion
By Jennifer, 7/27/10
So it was my first trip to OCNJ. I traveled with my hubby, 3 year old daughter, and my in-laws. Cons- No blow dryer. 20 dollars per extra towel needed. 20 dollars refundable deposit for beach tag. Dirty, and stale room. (Our feet were black from the carpet) Small tub. Outdated Furniture. Racks to hang clothes; no hangers. Not enough outlets. 25 cents for a bucket of ice. Pros- Convenient. Not half bad restaurant. Heated pool. They let us park for and extra 8 dollars so we could go to the beach after check out. Also let us borrow the beach tags. Outside shower for rinse off. Friendly staff. Changing area. Refrigerator. Working TV.

It was wonderful - for what it is
By Drewg181, 8/12/08
I highly recommend the Pavilion if you are relatively low maintenance, into what Ocean City is, and also understand what Ocean City is not. This is not the Hilton people! The people were friendly, the rooms clean and quaint. We were on the back side second floor (the 800 wing) - peak season, $179 for the night, family of four. The room is dated, but the water was hot, the towels and sheets soft and clean, the atmosphere wonderfully dated... See the 50s Chevy out front? If you love and "get" the car, you should love and "get" the Pavilion. I would highly recommend it if you are an Ocean City NJ kind of person. In the mornings - go up 8th street to the bike rental place - fresh donuts right there!

Must be a better place
By DonnaB, 7/16/08
I agree, the location is great. But for the money, I had sand in between my sheets, no clock in the room, and the staff only stays until midnight. So, when there were people swimming and partying outside the room with my sleeping family, there was no one to assist. The staff told me in the morning that there is a number on the office door that we can call and someone will be over. WHAT??? In the middle of the night?

Going back again and again
By Rick, 6/29/08
I've lost count on how many times we've stayed here. We get the apt that sleeps 8. It really sleeps 6 very comfortably. We've never had a problem with the staff. The Apt. has been in great shape upon arrival and the location is one of the best. We are going to be going there for a week in a few weeks and We will be reserving the apt. for next year 09 at the time of our check out. We stayed there on 2 different occasions in 07.

Awesome Place to Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/20/08
We loved this place, my family has been going to this motel for years but this was the first time in a long tim ethat I have been here. It is clean, friendly, comfortable, and great for a family or a couples getaway. The boardwalk and beach are litterally feet away from your room and the service is so great. I def. recommend this place.

We're coming back
By Amy, 2/7/08
Great location to reach everything, especially with two children. It was nice not having to cross a busy street. The grounds were kept clean. We even enjoyed breakfast on the patio.

Great location - and a pool!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/17/08
This place is in the heart of everything! Rooms are very small, a little difficult for more than a couple of nights. The place is a little run down, but not dirty. And I love the pool!

missed it last year
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/12/08
I liked everything about it. It may be old but the apartments are great for a family. They are large, with a balcony if it rains. 2 bedrooms,2 TVs, aircond. full bath, full kitchen. Large dining room and living room. I love the closeness to the boardwalk, waterpark, and ocean. They also have a pool. The only reason why I gave service a 4 is because there is really no service in the apts. I missed the past year for family reasons, I can't wait to get back this year.
