Nassau Inn, Princeton

Bell service was excellent--very helpful Resolution of a problem was taken care of quickly and to our liking Rooms and hallways in need of updating-even in the "new" section Can't beat the location but if you don't mind driving there are many other well taken care of hotels with great beds and updated baths five or ten minutes away They should invest some money in refurbishing and it couild be a great place! Tap room host and hostesses need to realize they are in a service profession have been there several times and am not impressed with the personalities of the hosts and hostesses

I like that another friend of mine enjoyed her stay at the nassau inn. The rooms had the most beautiful views to them the third floor views. The food is excellent. The waffles with fruit are the best with the strawberrys, and the blueberrys on it with a couple of dabs of butter, and maple syrup on it with orange juice, and milk on the side. The decaf coffee taste very good.

I liked the historical building, but the breakfast was THE MOST AWFUL meal I have ever had. It was so full of grease that I could barely eat it...I was shocked for such an upscale place.

The location is perfect. Princeton is charming and trendy and you couldn't find a better or more convenient location to the campus, or from which to enjoy the town. Everyone I encountered on the staff was pleasant and helpful. My room was spacious, emaculate and comfortable. It's only a stone's throw away from library, Post Office, U.P.S. store and any number of neat eateries and places you want to shop til you drop! I walked to McCarter Theatre where I saw productions well worth the trip to Princeton to see, ... from the New York Metro. area, no less!

I read the other reviews before heading to the Inn and, since they were decidedly negative, I didn't expect very much. That's the key to the Nassau... if you want a 4 or 5 star experience, or if you're going to spend a goodly amount of time in your room, then this is not the place for you. On the other hand, if you want a central location, a clean and quiet room, and a helpful staff (our experience, anyway), then book a room. Yes, the place is a bit thread-bare, and the look of the (rather small) rooms and bathrooms are right out of the 50s or early 60ss, but big deal. Given all the negative reviews of the Inn's restaurant, we opted for an up-scale local place within walking distance (there are several) "Lahiere's" which was very nice and we would certainly go back. So there you have it. You won't get the Ritz (or even close), but you'll get a quiet night's sleep and be a short walk from any place you need to be in Princeton.

Poor facilities with lousy food. Adequate service can't mask the weaknesses. What they have going for them is tradition and location. If this hotel were anywhere else but the center of Princeton, they would be out of business.

Dissapointed with the service. Rooms were overpriced.

This is an extremely low-quality yet pretentious hotel whose only selling point is the
location in the center of town. The facilities are old, run-down, and neglected. The whole
building generally smells of mold. The bathroom drains clog. The staff is unfriendly and
unaccomodating.
