worst service ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/09
the staff is very rude. room was very dirty, ridiculous housekeeping service.i felt very humiliated going to this hotel. i tried to make coffee and the machine kept spitting out dirt. i called downstairs over and over to report it. they literally took hours to bring a new one, after i told them that i was never coming back and i would write a mean review. I really hated their service.

Good & Bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/09
Very nice room. The price was good. Unfortunately, that's about all the 'good'. As for the bad, the front desk staff was a bit surly and not terribly helpful. Teddy's is a place I would not recommend. The wait staff was fine, but the food and PRICES were not good. Very, very expensive compared to other hotels I've stayed in. We chose the Hunt Room for the buffet breakfast which was a bad idea. The food was a good variety, but by the time we got back to our table the eggs were cold, the biscuits were stale around the edges and it went downhill from there. For the price, we've gotten much better food elsewhere. Also, the television choices were awful. We couldn't watch the Yankee baseball games in our room, and the cost of movies was out of sight. We went down to Teddy's one night to watch the game, but it was extremely noisy and crowded and if the sound was on, we couldn't hear it. It's unfortunate there are no other restaurants in the vicinity.

Terrible service & facilities, ok room, good price

Like - Price Dislike - lots of attitude at the front desk staff. Poor wifi service. Poor phone operator service. Poor restaurant service, more attitude. Go at your own peril :)

safety issue
By NancyF, 03/07/09
Arrived around 2AM after a long flight. Hoping to get a few hours sleep before my 9AM flight. Waited while another customer checked in. My wife and I were issued a room and made our way down to it. I swiped the key and walked into a semi lit room. The bathroom ws to my right and as I walked into the room a very scared and starled man got off the toilet screaming. My wife and I made a quick exit and returned to the front desk. We were told that no one was supposed to be in that room and were issued another room which was vacant. The adrenaline shot did not help me fall asleep. As we made our way to the room the poor man that we walked in on was exiting his room on his way to the front desk. I'm sure he had an even harder time falling asleep. After seeing him I realized he was the gentleman who checked in right before me. The front desk clerk issued the same room to two customers in a row.

Supervisor, needs sensitivity chip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/07
Found dirty condom wrapper in my PriorityClub room and was told by supervisor, (after removing it with gloves) that "it's no big thing because its was not the actual dirty condom, and I was only paying the internet rate)". Since then, my info for another reservation was taken and was told that I would get a response from that same supervisor regarding availability. I never received any call back regarding availability. I guess, I am being penalized.

Rude, unfriendly front desk staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/07
The hotel itself was great. Seemed to be newly renovated. My room was very nice and clean. The lobby was beautiful. The free shuttle service to and from the airport was great - except don't expect any help from the driver with heavy luggage. He will not move out of his driver's seat. I found the front desk staff and hotel operator to be quite rude, unprofessional, and unfriendly. I had to make 8 calls to the front desk to ask for one little thing. I got a bunch of promises, but no action. I finally had to go retrieve it myself. All in all, the room was excellent, but the staff was TERRIBLE!

Airport stopover
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/08/07
This hotel was excellent value & the room was very well configured for a family of 4 (the extra basin outside the bathroom was really useful). Coffee maker is useful. Check-in staff member was very friendly but more help from the shuttle bus driver with baggage would have been appreciated. Ideal location where you have an early flight the next morning & included distant views across to Manhattan.

The Place To Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/07
Newly renovated, tastefully decorated, clean, great service, friendly bartender, conveniently located to the airport and at a good price! Had a pleasant initial experience and just booked a return visit. The food and service at the bar was very good. Everyone was courteous and helpful.

Wonderful experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/06
We went to NYC for the Thanksgiving Holiday and to see a relative perform at a NY theater the night before. Because we booked the trip at the last minute, and were visiting during a busy holiday for NYC, we had a hard time finding any hotels with rooms available that were within a reasonable price. Because of the location and price of this hotel, we had very low expectations and were prepared for the worst. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and found a beautiful hotel with clean rooms and great service. I have done much traveling and have stayed at many exceptional hotels. I would rate this one up with the best of those. It was very attractive, our room was very nice and clean. We ate one meal at the hotel restaurant and found it to be good, with a great atmosphere and friendly service. We did have a problem with the toilet in our room when we arrived......we called the front desk and within 5 minutes someone came and fixed it. On another occasion we needed more towels. Again, we phoned the front desk and within minutes, our towels were delivered. In addition, the complimentary shuttle was great, and it took us directly to the train station at the airport. Everything was very convenient. I had also read some reviews about people having a hard time finding the hotel. We printed directions from Yahoo, and had absolutely no problem finding this location. I can't give this hotel enough praise, and we will definitely be back next time we visit NYC!

Great value to visit New York
By Cecil T, 10/09/06
Excellent hotel if you are visiting New York. A little bit hard to find but well worth it. Just remember P4 means Parking Structure 4, not Parking Level 4. You have to take the tram to get there to catch the hotel shuttle. Free shuttle service to the airport every 15 minutes. A short bus ride and you are in Manhattan. Clean and good service. Breakfast buffett available. Will stay there again on my next trip to the Big Apple. Cecil Tan Los Angeles, CA Sept. 2006
