Stay Away!!
By ,
First thing, I highly recommend that when you check into this place do not use your debit card!!!! I checked in for one night at this hotel and the rep advised me my card wouldn't go thru for a $300 pre-auth. I later found out that the hotel had already submitted a $1300 pre-auth!!!! Yes, $1300!!!For some strange reason the hotel didn't see it. They blamed it on a glitch in the system! After being transferred 4 times by arrogant consultants and managers, and being flip flopped between my bank and Bally's, 2 hours have gone by, its 11am, check out is at 12 o'clock and I haven't gotten anywhere. Finally at 12:30 I was told the situation was clear. The crazy part about it was the manager that was supposed to handle it thru accounting did not, the front end manager handled it!!! For the inconvienence I was provided with a refund for the night before and an extended check out. Thank you! Second, the housekeeper comes knocking on the door at 9am asking us if we are checking out??? It's 9am, check out isn't until 12! Afterwards she continued to knock on our door every hour thru out the morning. They then sent their manager who obviously didn't read the memo on my inconvience, who then AGAIN asked me am I checking out? I naturally went off! Third, they put the indoor pool down as an ammenity but fail to tell you that the indoor pool is part of the spa and is $10 to get in. The outdoor pool is in the Claridge Tower which is a hike from the Bally's Tower. When my sister went to visit the outdoor pool nobody was in it because it was extremely nasty. As she was walking to it, people were leaving it and telling her don't bother! Fourth, and final. My truck was damaged during valet!!! One thing that was my fault is I didn't look at the car before I left. Today we submitted a claim to get the car fixed, but we have been told that we may have to drive back to Bally's(which is 2-3 hours away depending on traffic) just so they can look at the damages, sending pictures may be out of the question. So unfortunately the saga continues.... The staff was friendly during check in but when things went wrong I received arrogance and sarcasm that wasn't deserved. Not only from the associates but from the managers too!!! Mind you I honestly wasn't yelling or screaming. Can't get anywhere doing that. There was only 1 manager that stepped up to fix the problem and I applaud him for that! The room was clean but definitely not worth $300/night. I suggest Pickles Deli as a restaurant to visit the food is delicious! My suggestion is to learn from my mistakes. If you must stay here, take precautions, but if you have options.....go somewhere else!!

Great place but needs more staff
By ,
When I checked in on friday night they has a lot of people behind the counter to check in but only one person working and she got tied up for a good 20 minutes with one large party. No one came to help her out so the line just keep geting longer. The hotel is nice the pool closes early for such a big place and open late.

NOT ALL THAT IMPRESSED
By ,
This was our 2nd honeymoon after 17 years of marriage. It was not at all what we had expected. The only real positives were the location, The Price Is Right and Pennyville. The room was small and not very clean-especially the bathroom. The television was located in an "entertainment center" that was too far from the bed and not large enough. We had a difficult time seeing and hearing it. Granted, we stayed in a less expensive room, but that is not an excuse for poor quality. The staff was also a big positive-thank you!

not bad, but not excellent
By ,
Positive Experience: 1. Nice clean & spacious guest rooms 2. immaculate pool/spa 3. Billys Poker Room & Keno Lounge 4. Virginia City Buffet (5 stars) Negative Experience: I find that the front desk staff upon check-in were highly rude, arrogant, & extreamly pushy and they do not make any effort to accomodate your needs. I did not like the fact that their are security officers by every Tower Elevator, and I recommend that you do NOT arrive on a Sunday because check in isn't until 5:00, and they DO make you WAIT. Overall nice hotel, but horrible service.

Something for everyone
By ,
My sister and I go to Atlantic City once a year I am not a gambler and my sister does like to take a chance once in a while. Atlantic City gives us the chance to get out on the Boardwalk and do a lot of people watching and my sister still has 5 casenos in a very close and safe area to walk. We have stayed in the same hotel for over 10 years Bally's Park Place in the Tower. With secuity guards at the base of the elevator you have always known that it would be safe. However as of this week it has been taken over by Harrah's so it remaines to be seen if the same feelings are there next year.
