Americas Best Value Inn - Casino, South Lake Tahoe

Wow! This place is suppose to have a AAA rate, well I don't know when was the last time they checked this place out. The mattress was hard as a rock. The blanket was so nasty looking I threw it off the bed. The chairs were stained and carpet looked dirty. If it was really late at night and I was so tired from traveling I would have checked out that night. We did check out in the morning and went to Harrah's and got the cleanliness and comfortable beds that we should have had.

Prior to arriving the Front Desk Mgr. was kind and very helpful. Once we arrived and paid for our stay everything change. When presented with a problem not much help if any was provided. Carpets were so dirty that wearing your socks was not even an option.

Well i stayed here to bring in the 2011. The front desk was very kind and willing to help with any issues. This was my first time traveling in the snow, so in the morning they even assisted me with my car chains. 5 minute walk to the main casinos, clubs , and heavenly, this is a great affordable place to stay!

The first word says it all BEST! This motel sells itself as a 2 star hotel; however, after staying for a week, it should market itself as a 3 star hotel. Almost every room has a balcony with chairs set outside to enjoy the warm nights. There is a beautiful pool with sauna and hot tub. All of these are kept up nicely. As for the rooms, we had a king size bed with a kitchenette. This room was spacious and comfortable. Our room had a separate bathroom, something I'm not sure is available in every room since each room is laid out differently. The staff is amazing. They are friendly and knowledgeable about any aspect of the lake you may want to explore. The manager cares about your stay and wants you to be as comfortable as possible. These staff members are what make this motel out of this world. We booked for 5 nights, but loved it so much we stayed five more nights. The total price was a little over 700 dollars. WOW! Everyone needs to stay at the Best Tahoe West Inn.

The staff was great & helpful. The breakfast was just what you need in the morning. the rooms were nice & clean, it looked freshly remodeled.These rooms are just as good as the ones at the casino's. The price was to die for, you can't beat it. The pool was clean & refreashing. It was quiet & close to everything. Everything was within walking distance. The ice machine was always full day or night. THERE WASN"T ANYTHING WE DIDN"T LIKE. We will be returning & telling all of our friends & family about are new place to stay when we go to Tahoe. (No more Harvey's for us.)

Property has a history of bed bugs. I personally witnessed two rooms being incorrectly treated with toxic sprays and the employees were not provided any respiratory protection. There are many other price equivalent places to stay at South Lake Tahoe.

Good location, good price and very clean, price is including continental breakfast, but expect to get wake up when stay at the bottom floor, you can hear people walking from the 2nd floor, and also when the 2nd floor turn on the shower, it was very noisy, I would recommend to request to stay at 2nd floor instead.

Made a reservation and printed out the confirmation and brought it with us. Drove the family of 4 for 4 hrs only to arrive and be told there is no record of our reservation. So at 5:30pm on a holiday weekend, hungry, tired... The reception desk did find us a room at another place. It was pretty bad though. Called "yahoo Travel"/travelocity and after .5 hour got nothing but "opps sorry" and incomplete refund. 2nd call 2 days later, more confusion and a furthur promise that our complete refund is in the works. We'll see...

my wife and i went to tahoe for a wedding, where everyone else was staying at a 300 dollar a night place. we figured we could either stay with them and not buy a gift or stay here and get them a nice gift. i'm glad we decided to stay here. it was nice and clean. the staff was friendly and helpful. and the free wireless internet access was awesome. my one gripe was the bed was very hard. i like firm matresses, but this one was even hard for me.

they have free donuts and tea. internet and printer here you can use. sometimes can't fell in sleep because of noisy. Good price for midweek.
