MGM charged me for someone else's room
By ,
I made reservations for my family and was told that the deposit would be refunded when guests checked in. I was NOT refunded and in one instance they charged both my credit card and the guest for the entire stay. They also agreed to clean a shirt for free after their faulty iron left a mark, but then they charged for the cleaning but never returned the shirt. I spent over an hour on the phone trying to fix the situation and they were rude and unhelpful.

Favorite Place on The Strip!!!
By ,
We try and come to Vegas 2-3 times a year, have never had a bad experience at the Mgm Grand. Staff from housekeeping to casino dealers have always been a the top of their game. We would rather stay at the MGM than any other place. Felt very safe during our stay. Our rooms have always been very comfortable and check in is fast. The Grand Buffet is a little pricey but compared to some of the other buffets on the Strip ,it has a better variety. When you enter The MGM Hotel , the first thing you notice is the smell. It has a very fresh and clean smell. Thanks for a great time!

My Favorite Place to Visit
By ,
This June I will return to the MGM for my 3rd time. This hotel is fantastic and world class. I like everything about it from the casino to the Lion's exhibit. The rooms are great and very comfortable. It has the best Black Jack game on the strip and the dealers are wonderful there. Their pool is awesome with excellent pool side service from friendly waitresses. Why go anywhere else? MGM is truly Grand!

I love las vegas
By ,
The MGM grand is great, and might I remind everyone... Your in Vegas so theres no reason why anyone should be that concerned about whats in there hotel room when theres partying and a wonder time awaiting out doors. I seen one person here complained about a coffee maker... seriously? The MGM is great and i went for 5 days 4 nights and was in my hotel for a total of maybe 3 hours out of a 24 hour day to shower and change clothes. Its nice to have a great hotel and all that but you dont go to vegas to stay in all day. The prices were great also. Ill be there this May 2010 MGM babyyyyy yeaaaaaaaa

we love this hotel stayed here on wedding night and for a couple of anneversaries since then! rooms are clean, staff is very helpful and always has a smile! two disappointing things this trip the grand buffet and the grand cafe. ate breakfast at both places during our trip and sorry to say but won't try breaky at either one again! especially the cafe and i've eaten at both before but the cafe actually pissed me off there was a table or two that got sat after us and had their food first. took a long time and our server did not check in on us. server at buffet was awesome. will still stay at mgm just won't dine at their restaurants.

Love it. I stay here every time.
By ,
I've been to Vegas on several occasions and always stay at the MGM Grand. Even the Grand Tower rooms are very nice, but if I'm with my wife we always opt for the Celebrity Spa Suite. It seems that quite a few of the bad reviews come from people staying in the West Wing rooms. I have never stayed in one, and do not plan to after reading many bad reviews. It's a shame that the West Wing gives so many first time MGM'ers a very bad taste in their mouths. I was in Vegas for the CES show in January and was offered a complimentary upgrade to a West Wing room (i was flying solo for this trip, and stayed in the basic Grand Tower room for this trip), and refused the upgrade. One other bad thing is that I've somehow managed to get the same front desk lady multiple times spanning over a few years. I never remember her until I'm already there. She is NOT a very helpful person to deal with. Very sarcastic sounding and snotty. When I check in this Sunday, I will definitely steer away from her line! The rest of the staff though has always been nothing but friendly! Now for the good stuff. The beds in all rooms are A-MAZ-ING! SO comfortable. My rooms have always been very clean and well kept. It seems like some of them have been redone since I started going there around 2005. I really like the Hollywood theme in the rooms, and the bright colored couches and chairs. Very old movie star-ish. The only bad thing I found about the room was that the walls seemed very, very thin. I could hear the guy in the adjoining room talking on his cell phone from my bed. It goes away when you have the TV on, but if you are trying to sleep and have party animals next door, it may bother you. The same thing goes with the hallway. I could hear everyone coming and going, and their conversations, while they were outside my room. In my Grand Tower room in January, the bathroom had extremely good water pressure, and a nice, pressure adjustable shower head to go along with it. The tub has a perfectly sloped back so it makes laying down comfortable if you choose to do so (which i always do after walking all day in Vegas). The Celebrity Spa Suite is nothing short of amazing. Its the perfect size to NOT make you feel like you are stuck in a hotel room. I always end up using the couch and living area even though I always tell myself ahead of time that I wont, and that i'd just lay on the bed. But I like to lay on the couch and watch TV in the room, again, so it doesnt just have the feel of being in a hotel room. It feels more like a very nice studio apartment. The bathroom is massive! The tub easily fits two, but could probably hold 3-4 comfortably! The rest of the Hotel/Casino in my opinion is layed out very nice. The elevators are right off of the lobby so you dont have to walk through the entire casino to get to them. there is a small convenience store thing between the elevator lobby and the desk just in case you need to pick up something on the way to your room. One tip for people wanting to stay at MGM. Get on their E-Mail promotions list. I'm arriving next week and getting a Celebrity Spa Suite for $95 a night through these promotions. Regular rooms were going for around $60 or so. They are always throwing in great inclusions with each promotion too! Overall I love MGM, it has its minor flaws, but none that are absolutely deal breaking for me. Great rooms at great rates. Plus, the easiest access to the monorail on the entire strip. I would just say to avoid the West Wing room if you can avoid it. It seems they are the ones that bring down MGM's overall review rating, which is pretty sad.

Don't waste your money, go to Palazzo
By ,
Extremely disappointed. Won't ever stay at the MGM Grand again (and I will make sure my friends and family never do either). The rooms are old, out-dated and the staff is generally unfriendly and unhelpful (with a few exceptions). The Palazzo is much nicer, newer, and more friendly overall with a comparable room rate. In a service industry its the people that make the hotel and casino what it is and MGM is severely lacking in the service department, especially with the number of options available on the strip, stay away from the MGM Grand.
