I loved this place! Not as popular as the other big hotels on the Strip but it was Great value at a great location. Nice confortable rooms. There is a small place in the casino that serves the greatest Sushi. Great bar that has wonderful live music. Best hotel experience thus far!!
The boardwalk is right beside monte carlo and the belligo. There couldn't be a more perfect spot. In our case we were only there to sleep and it was great. rooms were clean, the casino was ok- small but nice. The price was what got us. We had no complaints!
When you arrive three hours late for your reservation due to a flight delayed by bad weather and other mishaps, your only hope is tht there is still a room available at the hotel. I was my good fortune to reserve at the Boardwalk on the Strip in Las Vegas. Although the room I reserved was long gone, the desk clerk offered me a free upgrade. I found my self in a suite, six floors up with a view facing the Strip. To say I was very pleased hardly covers it.
I pack light, usually one bag, and I been in enough hotels to know my way around. Service to me is checking in, checking out and a clean comfortable room in between. The desk clerks handled the "in" and "out" processes with a smile and a professional manner missing at many other hotels.
My only gripe was with the buffet. it appears that the dining room was in the mist of a renovation. At least I hope so. The room ws dimly lit and the the walls appeared to be recently patched. The food was edible but nothing to recommend as I had found at other "Strip" hotels.
All in all, I would recommend the Boardwalk to anyone looking for a moderately priced hotel on the Strip that does not try to overwelm you with its size or its pretentiousness.
This hotel was a great deal. It was priced just right. Located in the middle of the strip and so close to everything. I chose a smoking room but you would never know it. The rooms were very very clean and the staff was great. The casino and the shows were good also. And lets not forget the valets. they are extremely helpful, and sooo polite! They even found me a limo for my birthday. I cant wait to go back. thanks Boardwalk. You Rock !!!!!
If hi-priced resorts and overpriced hotels are all that's available, the Boardwalk is an excellent alternative as an on-strip hotel. It's conveniently located near all the attractions, and yet has all the amenities and a friendly staff. The views from the tower rooms are truly spectacular at night. You can see either north or south, depending on the location. In spite of being close to it all, the rooms are quiet when you need to take a break or get some rest.
PS - Check out the Prince tribute band on Saturday night. They are excellent!
Nice location on the center of the strip but very poor housekeeping.
On the first day of our stay my husband and I found on one of the two beds a red stain on the inside bed cover that looked like melted candy. It was too late at night so we waited till the next morning and wrote a nice note for the housekeeper to change the bed cover.
When we came back at night the bed cover was changed. But when we were ready for bed we found a big black print on the sheet of the other bed. Called the housekeeping and they brought a sheet after half an hour. As I were changing the sheet, I was shocked to find the red stained bed cover on this bed. It seemed that the housekeeper simply swapped the covers of two beds. The sheet they brought over smelled like motor oil.
Had an aweful stay there! Considering the $100 we paid per night, this was definitely not worth it!!!
All the amenities of the big name resorts at more than half the price. Everyone travels uo and down the strip so centrally located. Has all the same amenities of the resorts but on a smaller not so fancy scale. Great place to get your feet wet gambling and then move on to the larger casinos.
Just stayed at the Boardwalk. I find it a good location for walking the strip since it is towards the middle. Additionally, the hotel rooms are a short distance to the sidewalk unlike the mammoth ones where you walk for 20 minutes just to get to/from your room from the strip.
The facility is clean and secure. The rooms clean and comfortable. Not much on ammenties. But since I was in the room primarily to sleep and rest it was a great fit for price-location-features. Low-price good location - and good safe sleeping.
I would recommend this to those who are not expecting alot ammenties or extensive services. Those who are seeking a good location with a nice place to sleep and operate out of.
