Renovate your Casino
By too bad, 07/31/09
I visit Harrahs Reno 2-3 times every year for the past 20 years or so but the casino never changes its slow and old style . Everything else is great about this place though .

Nice room, friendly staff, good food
By Nadien, 01/25/09
We had a nice room on the 20th floor in the East tower. We had dinner at the Italian restuarant which was really good. We could not get in for dinner at the steak house since it was full. The only disappointment was the Spa. It is in need of a major remodel, the sauna did not work.

Two Visits in One....First and LAST!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/08
The room we booked was supposed to be a handicapped room near the elevators as my mother is 84 years old. What we ended up with was the last room you could get before going out the fire door at the far end of the hall. When we requested another room, we were informed none were available, but to "check back in a day or so." Then the A/C wasn't working very well, but couldn't seem to get anyone up to the room to fix it. We finally rented a car and drove to Tahoe and spent a day there, only to find that the Diamond Lounge was closed because of a celebrity golf game. We were informed it was only open for the celebrities and their entourage...(if they weren't Diamond or 7 star players, they shouldn't have been in there) They offered us tickets to go out on the Harrah Star and take a cruise around Lake Tahoe... Sounded great. Until we got to the dock and found out the motor was out on the boat and would not be repaired for at least 2-3 days. Giving up we went BACK to Reno. We were then given tickets to the Show being performed there. It was wonderful.....but 30 minutes into the show the control board blew a fuse and the show was cancelled until the next night....of course, we were scheduled to return home the following day. I will never return there or recommend it to my friends. As a Diamond player, I was appalled at the treatment we received. Harrah's needs to look at themselves and remember who helped them get as big as they have become.

Rip Off
By R, 07/31/08
I don't care for sites that list hotels for 1/2 of the price being charged. I equate it to a bait and switch policy by the hotels to screw the customer out of more money

We love Harrah's!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/08
My wife and I would thank you for the great time we had at Harrah's Reno on our 38th Anniversary. The people that work at Harrah's are great! And I love to hear the saying they use after they already have helped you out. "Is there anything else we can help you with".What a touch of class! Kind regards, George Houston

Would go back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/21/08
Harrah casino in Reno was very nice, people were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and well kept up, bed was made up in a timely matter. Food was good ,prices were right and service was very good. The only draw back was the casino itself, machines were very tight. But all in all we had a great time and would go back.

Just OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/07
This hotel is centrally located but does need to be upgraded especially the West Tower. We were given a mini-suite but I must say it just looked like a slightly bigger room. Bathroom is cumbersome. Bed was OK but sheets were not soft. Friendly personnel especially in the Casino. Harrahs Steakhouse was extremely good, although a little expensive. I was disappointed in the casino. It didn't have much action. I didn't see anyone winning. I did like that it is close to Tahoe and you can rent a car and be there within an hour.

Happy !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/06/07
We just visited your Reno casino and wanted you to know that we had a great time. The employees were friendly and very helpful. We will be backagain and want to compliment the staff and obviously your training program. Thank you for running a casino the way one should be run. Sincerely, Joe and Nancy Cappolella ps--We were with the Cotler VIP tour.

relaxing getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/16/07
My friend and I just got back from out first trip to Reno. After reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous about going. But we had some of the best food we had ever eaten. Room was very clean. Beds comfortable. Workers at Harrah's were very nice and helpful. We did take the tour to Virginia City and felt like it was priced way too high. The only negative I have to say is the slots were way too tight. Try the new blackjack switch game. It was fun!
