Fun was had by all
By Aimee, 9/16/09
The Golden Nugget is a wonderful place to stay for a long weekend. The rooms are clean, the food is excellent and the staff are beyond friendly. I would definitely recommend the Golden Nugget to all of my friends.

Amazing Time By All
By Sonya, 9/10/09
It was the perfect setting for a "Ladies" long get away weekend. All services and restaurants are very reasonably priced, including the spa! The pool is so relaxing and a great place to chat, unwind and gamble! I highly reccommend the Grotto restaurant, the food is exceptional as is the entire staff! The beds were comfortable and the rooms very clean. It is not true that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, for we all brought a little extra dough back home as well! Can't wait to return to our favorite place on the Freemont Street. S from TX

A Great Surprise
By CopperKnut, 9/4/09
I stayed here not expecting much. Having only stopped in from Fremont Street before I had thought there wasn't much to the Nugget. Turns out it is as big and nice as any place. The shark tank with the waterslide through it was a great attraction, casino was fun, friendly, and profitable, and the food was good. Walk outside on a 100 degree day into the shade on Fremont and it is comfortable as can be. Much more than the main strip. I loved it and will be back.

The South Tower SUCKS --- The rest is beautiful.
By Gary, 8/22/09
I can't believe that they are building a new tower and not upgrading the south tower -- unless they plan on tearing it down. Replace the rugs and changes the bedding and it would be all good -- I love the Golden Nugget but that left a sour taste. I had 10 K at the casino and then go back to a smoky room - yes we got it because of the price but I think they can take care of the basics -- It is like the McDonalds viewpoint that you are measured by your bathroom cleanilness

Had a great time

We enjoyed everything. We didn't win big but we didn't lose. the room was nice. and having fremont street just out the doors was great. And you can ride the duce down to the strip.

Needs much updating
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/1/09
Well worn hotel would be the kindest phrase. Seems we're always stuck in the south tower and only have parking lots to see. We also booked three months ahead and were told we were lucky to get the last room - why wasn't one saved for us and we arrived at 1 p.m. We never ate there so don't know about food. Personel were okay. Need newer slot machines. They are building a new tower so maybe the rest will be updated. Like the downtown

5* STARS, LOOKING FORWARD TO STAYING THERE !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/21/09
All these reviews are VERY old...I've read many newer reviews with many raves. I'm booked for a stay in July '09 and I hope that THE GOLDEN NUGGET lives up to their most recent reviews. Got my fingers crossed and my expectations on high. Patrick C.

STAY AWAY !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/8/09
Hotel was dirty and the service even worse. We booked the hotel and upon arrival no one helped us with the bags. Room was awful!!! Towels looked like someone wiped their privates with it; dust everywhere, sheets were not washed. We left the hotel within minutes. Stay away!!!!
