Not bad
By Louis, 6/22/10
The room we got was decent but because it was at the Carson Tower the walk was very long from the Casino. The Front Desk clerks were polite but slow. The Valet service was good. The dining was not bad and the Fremont Experience was great. The cocktail service was below average and the gaming was okay. I would probably stay here again.

Great first trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/25/10
This was my first trip to Vegas and I can't wait till next year to go again and we will stay at the Golden Nugget then also. Then hotel was beautiful and we were in the Rush Tower so there was no street noise whatsoever. The staff was wonderful and usually I have so much trouble sleeping when we travel because of the hard beds but this one was great. I wanted to go for the pool but coming from Texas the weather was a little on the first day and the rest of the week other issues had it closed but we did use the one in the Hideaway so that worked out ok. I would surely recommend this hotel to any one going out to Las Vegas. It was defintly worth the money and I would reccomend it to anyone the only thing is the bathrooms are to small.

Salon should be advertised
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/23/10
I stayed at the Golden Nugget for 7 days and just returned home yesterday. I absolutely loved everything about the entire stay. All of the employees were more than helpful. We are both retired but still in our 50's and love to stay at nice quiet out of the way but luxurious hotels. The Golden Nugget is our favorite in Las Vegas. The only negative comment I have about the Golden Nugget, is that even though I have stayed at the Golden Nugget several times and used the Spa several times I did not know they had a full service salon. I thought they just did a blow dry and style kind of service. So I always go somewhere else to get my hair done. The salon isnot advertised as full service and is sort of hidden in the Spa. The day after I had my hair done at a Las Vegas Salon I went in to the Spa for a massage and facial. That was when I noticed someone getting a full service hair color, cut etc. When I mentioned to the Spa Director that I wish they advertised better for the full service salon because I would rather have had my color and cut with them, she looked and spoke to me very rude condescing tone and said, it is advertised in your room and we have posters everywhere, you should have asked. I disagreed, the posters all have SPA in huge letters and Salon in little tiny letters. Obviously this Courtney did not like me sharing my opinion. It was the only bad part of my stay, everyone else was wonderful and after asking around I found out that the salon has a great hairstylist named Cathy. So I will as for her next time and I won't try to give any helpful advice to the Spa Director. But all in all I had another great trip to the salon.

Best in town
By LaurieJ, 4/18/10
I have been staying at the Nugget for 16 years. Even after I moved to Vegas I found myself still booking nights at the Nugget for a getaway. For the value of a high end hotel vs. the strip, Golden Nugget is unmatched. The rooms are beautiful and clean..Never slept better. The food is great, the staff are spot on, and you don't get raked over the coals. Fremont Street is just more "ma/pop" oriented and you don't feel lost in the shuffle..I felt this way as a tourist, and I still feel this way as a local resident. You must try the Golden Nugget at least once.

Will go back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/3/10
Wonderful room. Bed was great. Room was a nice size and clean. We were on the 11th floor and could not hear the Fremont St noise at all. Staff were nice and helpful. We used the safe in the room and had no problems with anyone stealing anything in it or in the room. Good food. Great entertainment. Lots of security out on Fremont St. Will stay here again!

Great Value! Beautiful new RUSH TOWER.
By vinni, 2/24/10
The new rush tower opened in November and I have to say this was the nicest room I have ever stayed at in Vegas without spending 200 per night. The bathroom was huge and the contemporary decor was amazing. My wife and I had a great stay 5 stars!

Golden Nugget, My first pick for down town.
What we liked There were places to eat open 24/7, good food. Rooms were very clean. Really nice pool! Easy access to parking garage off Main street. Slots treated us O.K., Location, Got great rates too! The cashier at the even remembered us being there 2 days earlier. I was impressed with that, because of all the people she would see in that time frame, she remember us. We will be back, if we can get good rates. What we disliked We thought they forgot to clean the room, but she showed up at 9:30 at night to clean the room. We would highly recommend it to others.

Great Get-A-Way
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/28/09
This was a great girls' weekend get-a-way! The rooms were very nice; upstairs club over Freemont was great; the pool bar was an awesome place to hang out; the food was incredible; and the hotel staff was impeccable!
