Nice rooms, Poor Security, Poor customer service.
Clean, comfortable room. Neat shark pool, and fun surroundings. Myself and 3 other friends just got back from our stay. Enjoyed vegas, however due to lack hotel security our room was broken into, and around $6000 worth of items were stolen. Womens clothes, laptops, car keys, luggage, ipods, etc...
We promptly reported it, did everything in our power, provided them with pinpoint entry and exit times, and were told to wait for 3 or 4 days for their loss department could get back to us. Sadly we all had to leave before this. Some stayed behind to get it sorted out, those who could not stay away from work were forced to drive back home. We still have just been jerked around, and from the sounds of it the hotel assumes absolutely no responsibility for their presumably simple or faulty door locks.
If you want to use this hotel, I reccomend keeping anything you want to bring home with you in the safe. If it is too large (which it most likely is, you cannot fit a laptop inside the safe) I reccomend requesting that they store it for you in a vault or other safe place in the casino.
In addition, the cleaning staff will disregard the "do not disturb" signs you place on the door. We were awoken twice in our 4 day stay by staff coming into our room when our sign was on.
The golden nugget is a beautiful hotel, but whatever you bring with you, expect not to bring it back, or compensation for what you have lost. Good luck to all of you.
