UGLY
By richard, 5/4/12
Been there for 30 years. Watched as rooms got dirty. Toilets and bath drains plugged. Door locks malfunction and safes unuseable. Carpets dirty, bedsheets not tucked in. The service is horrible and probably unionized as they watch you and refuse to wait on you, Average of two people serviced and they disappear. The table games are more sparse in favor of slots. Do not go here as I am sure safety measures are neglected as well. THEY DO NOT CARE.

North and South Towers
By DakotaKid, 4/22/12
My late arrival was moved from a North Tower reservation to a South Tower 8th floor room with no view but the neighbor had a great tail, really it was the dog floor. Moved the next day to the North Tower 18th floor with nice view, staff was helpful in making changes no barking, hassles or charges only consumed time. South is newer with minor room improvements, tile, furniture, etc... No major differences as both require long walks from the parking garage and to anything else. The room amenities were ice and soap. available wifi is $14 a day. TV is 1990s with very basic cable featuring foreign and inhouse channels. The pool is nice with bar service. There are plenty of aging chaises and afternoon shade which you need for a nap after the walk to get there. The inhouse entertaiment is Jubillee, The Price is Right and some Cabaret acts. More options in the adjoining Paris and further North is the Miracle Mile Planet Hollywood with plenty of food and entertainment options. To the south is Harrahs with an afternoon outdoors stage that is always good. The Strip has added a double decker bus for easier movement and Ballys has an house bus to the Rio and nearly sister properties. All are part of the Total Rewards card . The Ballys casino is small but has plenty of table games. The sports book is substanially smaller than olden days but Ceasars is just across the street. Ballys room rate is reflective of its age with a geat mid-Strip location and the smell of old Vegas.

I would stay there every time.
By debbie, 4/18/12
As I checked in the clerk was very polite and acconodating. Took 8 t0 10 minutes at tops. He quickly fixed a travel agent error, that otherwise would have meant changing rooms in the middle of a 5 day stay. I was also upgraded to a very nice room on the 22 floor, which by the way did allow smoking. The room was large and exceptionally clean. Plenty of storage as we were an a extended trip and had lots of luggage. Room ammentities were plentiful and of an exelent quality. Bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Pillows were plentiful. Maid and room service were A-1. Concierge service was the best. Check out was the easiest I have ever encountered. I just don't understand how anybody can slam this hotel unless they are just habitual complainers and noone could ever please them CUDOS to BALLY'S. Thank you so very much for making the end of my vacation soomething that I will always remember with extreme joy.

Horrible experience on a 5th floor
By Benamir, 1/10/12
One night in this hotel was just a nightmare. Like a nonsmoker I finished on a famous 5th flor with a nice view of a 20 foot high concrete wall. If you are smoker you will probable get much higher flors. There is only a tini door that separates your room from another room. UNfortunately for me in another room were 5 wild boys and girls having the party till 5 AM. They stopped screaming after I called the security.

A great value
By KenH, 9/1/11
We stayed in a north tower deluxe room. The checkin was long, 40 minutes or so because they only had 3 clerks working, one with a supervisor or trainer over the shoulder. By my watch it took in excess of 5 minutes per checkin. As in take credit card, give key. 5 mins or more. Rooms were great, clean, roomy and cleaned appropriately each day. We paid less than $50 per night for our stay, we'd pay double that for our local marriot on a promotion rate. The casino smells strongly of flowery cigarette smoke, much more than any casino on the strip. (we collected $1 chips from each we visited, we had 18 chips.) Also, if gambling is your thing, they have about the smallest casino floor on the strip. The drink service at the table games sucked. The dining options are not strong. We waited over an hour in the table service "quick service" tequilla bar, and had two bus-staff say "you should complain to a manager." The reason I give Ballys a high review and would stay there again is that the hotel location, mid strip and on the monorail, plus attached to Paris, can't be beat. No resort fees, what you see is what you pay. Please don't take my comments above as overly critical. 5 nights at less than $52 per night is a steal for this property. What it came down to was a clean, spacious room that didn't gross us out, and after the first night we realized that we could easily walk, in 5 minutes, to Paris, the Bellagio, or get on the monorail and go up or down strip. So I hope it isn't a backward complement, but Ballys is a great place to sleep, but plan on going pretty much anywhere else to do your vacationing. The Ballys pools, however, were uncrowded and nice, so I would also say the pools on property were top notch. Again, sorry if this sounds like a negative review that cannot decided what to do, but it is a great place to sleep, and go to the pool, but plan on going off property if you stay there.

Bally's Tikki Hut on Bally's hotel corner
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/11
My girlfriend and I went to Bally's to celebrate her daughter's bachlorette party Mother's Day weekend 2011. We were sight seeing and came upon the Bally's Tikki Hut selling Corona beer and stopped to check it out. We ended up going back to the hut daily to visit our friendly bartenders Jason Rinta, Jonyce Seborn and Aaron Marsh. These three employees helped make our Vegas visit a fantastic time!!!!! I wanted their bosses to know that these 3 employees should be commended for their terrific service, friendly personalities and professional ettiquette. Kudos to them and to Bally's for showing us a great time and making our trip all the more memorable.

Never stay @ Bally's hotel again! Disappointed.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/24/11
We stayed at Bally's from Jan 16th through Jan 22nd. We had reservations for early check-in. We got to the hotel around 11:30 am. The lady that waited on us was very rude. We were very disappointed in this hotel from the staff to the hotel room and the prices for meals. Checked in received room number but no key, was told to come back at 3pm for key. There is NO quiet place to sit down and unwind after arriving to the hotel, when your room is not ready. We sat in the Mexican restaurant for a little over an 1 1/2 hours to spend over $50.00 for 2 people at lunch, no alcohol was purchased. We left the hotel drove around for a little while to get some peace and quiet, came back to the hotel at 3 pm expecting to get our room key and were told our room was not ready to come back at 4 pm. We finally get to our room a little after 4 pm to find an old out dated room, we do NOT have a bedspread just a top sheet with some kind of blanket and another top sheet. We have 4 twin size pillows on a king size bed, that are flat. We asked the housekeeping lady for 2 extra pillows and a bedspread but she didn't speak English and couldn't understand us. The next day we were able to speak to an English speaking person in house keeping about the pillows and bedspread and were told there is a water shortage so no rooms have bedspreads, we were given 2 blankets that are normally used for twin size mattress protectors. When leaving the hotel we noticed 3 rooms on our floor had bedspreads lying on the floor while getting their rooms cleaned. The furniture is old and scratched, dented and dinged screws holding the legs of the table together. There are stains on the walls in the room. The bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work, light bulb blown, long dark hairs on the floor and in the tub, the ceiling in the bathroom was stained yellow and had dark stains scattered on the ceiling too. the shower head and faucet was old and didn't work properly, had no water pressure for the shower. The carpet was dirty and stained. No coffee pot in the room. The rooms pictured on their website are not what you receive when you check in.

Check in nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/10
Long awful check in, I'd think long and hard about booking Bally's because a 3 hour wait to check in is just crazy! I watched that check in line alot during out 5 day stay and it was always really, really long! I love Bally's but that check in is a deal breaker for me! The tequila bar has great food at a decent price and has good service! I think I'm going to try another of Harrah's properties next time. Anyone got any good check in reviews or advice at any of Harrah's other properties? I've stayed at Bally's every time over the last 5 years I guess it's time for a change
