Island Inn Motel, Grand Island

All I have to say beware BED BUGS hope i dont have any in my suitcase. Go home you peopl that do not belong here and take your bed bugs back to your country.

free WiFI, fridge in the room, nice folks. IT's not the Hampton inn or anything like that, but it is 30-40% less than the chain hotels down the street and it works for me. great for a budget business traveler, or budget family place

I like it because people are really nice, they have a great service and everything is really clean and confortable. they pay atention to us on everything. It is just AWESOME!!!

First of all, I have stayed at this motel once before ans it was ok, the price was reasonable, and there was a fridge in the room, which was a nice because we had bought our own snacks/food to save on money. But the second time I went to stay there was a whole different story. the person at the front desk was not at all courteous, was very rude, and unprofessional. On this attempt to stay there the person I was staying with and I were verbally attacked by the worker at the front desk, and then we were asked to leave for no reason at all after we had already paid for the room and the deposit for smoking!

Island Inn is nestled between major well-known chain hotels and is close to every convenience you could need (gas, food, Walmart, groceries, etc.). The exterior grounds are very well maintained and very clean with beautiful flowers adding that touch of "home". The owners are some of the nicest people you could meet with obvious pride in their business and high standards for their guests. The room far exceeded our expectations for an economy 2-star hotel. It was an incredibly clean, good sized room with a full-sized refridgerator, nice furniture, cable with 70+ channels (including HBO), built-in blow dryer, and plenty of drawer space if needed. The ONLY drawback was the bathroom was small -- but clean and totally functional with HOT hot water and COLD cold water. :-) Also, they don't allow any pets (a drawback for some). I strongly recommend the Island Inn to anyone looking for a place to spend the night or a week or more!

THE ON SITE OWNERS ,ADE THE WEEKEND A REAL PLAESURE AND WERE ALWAYS READY TO HELP WITH ANY QUESTION AND PROBLEM THAT I HAD. I AM GOING BACK TO GRAND ISLAND IN JANUARY AND WILL BE AT THE BUDGET HOST AGAIN. THANKS FOR A GREAT STAY AND WONDERFUL SERVICE AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE.
