Clarion Inn Fremont, Fremont

My husband, daughter, son-in law, 2 year old twins and I stayed here for 1 night, in a poolside double queen room (with mini fridge and microwave). This is an older hotel that has been spruced up but could still use a little more work. The lobby and restaurant decor was nice. The room was clean; the bed and pillows very comfortable; air conditioning and room lighting was fine; and the shower was great (plenty of water pressure and hot water!). On the other hand, some of the door locks/chains were inoperable; the bathroom was fairly small without much of a vent fan; and noise from the pool could be an issue to some. The pool area was nice; a large pool; comfortable chairs; jacuzzi (not the greatest); and a few pieces of exercise equipment. The continental breakfast consisted of: cereal, toast, bagels, hash browns, scrambled eggs, apples, oranges, coffee, tea, orange juice, and (I think there was) milk. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly enough. I would probably stay here again (but would check out the hotel next door that was $20.00-$30.00 cheaper, first).

Its like you are getting ready to have a good time tell they tell you the price of your room. But i took it any way. My room was not what i have payed for. There was hair in the bath tub pee all over the toilet and floor, my tv was so dusty. The housekeepers nock on the door even if there is a do not desterb on the door. There is one young lady there that is very rude to the customers and the other workers. with service of the rooms and the staff being that poor and crude i will not return to or reffer anyone to this motel. i only wish my stay was worth the price.

All went well with checkin lobby area Very nice and appealing, You would think the rooms would be the same. NOT!!! Not cleaned properly when their is black spots of mold growing in the shower and paint peeling from the ceiling of the shower, made me think of what I had slept in the bed the night before.I did not check the bathroom area before going to bed, I was just dog tired. I should have had a clue when the room smelled musty and old when I entered, like I stated I was very tired. NOT WORTH $80. This was one of those rooms you get out on the road for $29.95. Will not go back or recommend to anyone. Did not use restaurant because I figured if the bathroom was growing mold what was the kitchen growing so I opted to go to Burger King for breakfast even though I had a coupon free breakfast in the restaurant.
