Would shop around a bit more next time...

By far the best part of this motel is its location, it is perched on a hillside and looks out over a stunning vista. However, what we expected and what we got were two different things. It was nice and clean, but no updating had been done on the room in possibly 30 years; the sink was stained, the decor was tired, the lighting dim (not romantic, just inadequate!) We were disappointed, since we had been viewing this trip to MT as a romantic getaway and the depressing room was a definite downer! Pool/hot tub area looked very nice and well-maintained but "breakfast area" consists of two tables squeezed into the small main office/lobby (we ate in the darling town of Big Fork!)
When we asked for an ironing board, since there wasn't one provided, they brought a broken, mini-sized board to the room. Old pipes seemed to be a problem as well, I gave up trying to get any hot water/water pressure and resorted to baths both days we were there.
When we have the opportunity to visit Big Fork again, we will definitely shop around, and avoid staying here again...because it was quite clean (just very tired) we would stay here again if we had to, but it wouldn't be our first pick! When a hotel relies solely on its location to keep customers coming back, and puts next to nothing into updating their facility I feel taken advantage of...as though we are a captive audience, so they don't have to make any extra effort to remain a quality establishment.
