Super 8 Helena Mt, Helena

We had a rough trip from Canada. Got to Super 8 in Helena. TOM was on the desk, he made us very welcome. Helped me get on line so I could send email to family. He was most helpful. Breakfast next morning was more good news. The cooks did a very good job with keeping everything hot & fresh. Good coffee also. Thanks for a SUPER 8 stay. Also thanks to IRIS SMITH. Manager.

Pros: good location and very good breakfast variety. Cons: no soundproofing between rooms, low water pressure, very dirty room (used coffee filter in coffee maker & my socks turned black from walking around the room), very tiny room, room I reserved was not even offered at the property (yet I have an email showing that I was able to reserve a king bedded room - I did try and contact the GM but the email bounced back as the account was "full"), and Wi-Fi was very slow. Advice: avoid! One word review: "dive".

The room was clean and had new carpet. The cleaning staff in the afternoon were a bit noisy but sounded like they were enjoying their jobs. I could smell disinfectant too which was encouraging! The breakfast area itself was crowded but was effecient served the need. I would stay there again.

My daughter and I stayed there although I have never had a good experience at a Super 8 but it was very inexpensive on Hotwire. The front desk lady was so rude until I finally kept conversation going and made her smile. The room they gave us was down a long hall with low lighting and I even noticed some lighting was either burned out or turned off. The room was ok. We went to bed at 10:30 and I was awakened by loud voices about 3:30am. I had to keep the a/c or heater going so I could sleep. at 6:30am when I got up, the partying was still going and when I was in the shower, I could hear what I am pretty sure was people having sex. When we checked out, I told her front desk lady and she said she was sorry and would discount my room but I had booked online. DON'T BE TEMPTED BY THEIR PRICE BECAUSE IT IS NOT WORTH THE SAVINGS.

I stayed after they had just put in some new beds. It was wonderful. The evening desk clerk wasn't very friendly, but the lady in the morning was very bubbly. Great breakfast. The manager even greeted me on my way out.

The first thing I noticed is that the lobby is unlike anything I've ever seen in a Super 8. I travel frequently and I stay at many hotels, and this was a lovely surprise. You could use some new beds but I was told that they had already been ordered and were on the way. A great move on your part. The location near the hospital was very convenient for me, I am a registered nurse and it can be difficult to navigate new towns when you have been in so many. The young man at the desk was very helpful. I will stay again
