Nice place.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/22/10
My only complaint would be the bar closes way to early. The food at the resturant was very good. Room was clean and quiet. Nice View of the river. Gave us a great corporate rate.

Surprisingly Good
By yahoo subscriber, 03/02/09
I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel; I ding them a point on cleanliness only because the rooms appear not to have been redone recently, so there's a bit of wear here and there. But they will give the government rate government employees on personal travel, which made it an excellent value for our visit to the University of Montana. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the hotel restaurant. The Tapas-based menu was interesting, and everything we tried, from fish tacos to pork won-tons to a small portion of steak, was cooked perfectly and served by an attentive wait staff. The "stack", a pile of home-cooked potato chips smothered nacho-style with bacon, tomatoes and multiple premium cheeses, was far better than I'm able to make it sound here. We returned there for the second night of our visit just because we wanted to try some more of the menu items. The soups of the day -- a cream of mushroom the first night, a potato-leek the second night -- were excellent. Seriously, this was one of the best affordable hotel restaurants I've ever eaten in. Yeah, I've had better in $250-a-night big-city hotels with famous-chef restaurants, but given this low-key context, it was amazingly good. Also note that, at least at the time of our visit, the bar offered $6 pitchers of microbrew beer during happy hour. And these were big, four or five pint pitchers. Given that a single glass was $4, it is cheaper to order a pitcher even if you only expect to have a second pint. This was the only time I've ever been to Missoula, so I can't compare it to other hotels in that city. But of the dozens of hotels I've stayed at over the years in the $100-a-night price range, this really is one of the best I've experienced.

We have stayed here at least a dozen times
By klrbaer, 02/06/09
We get the government discount, so I don't think I've ever payed more thant 100.00 a night. Great location, your right downtown, you can use the shuttle for fishing. We have only seen 2 or 3 naked poeple in the hot tub in all the times we've been there, so I would still say it's ok for the family. Our room was always clean and we never had any thing missing. The staff was very helpful with alot of good suggestions of places to and things to see. Missoula is a great place for the traveler on foot or bicycle. Very friendly.

Perfect, perfect, perfect!!!
By Linda Lou, 12/25/08
First of all the staff was very courteous and attentive to our needs. I asked them about their procedure regarding parking in their parking lot while we fly to Vegas and they said we could leave our vehicle there with "no charge". They even took us in their shuttle to the airport and picked us up on our return! The room was modern, clean and very comfortable. The restaurant and food were to die for. All in all, I will return again and again. We were very happy with this hotel.

BAD Experience!! AVOID!!
By Livin in IF, 10/02/08
Upon checking in, the night clerk could not figure out how to look up my award plan- told me to ask someone in the morning. After a terrible night sleep- the sound of carts rolling around... the coffee maker only makes ONE cup!! Are you kidding?? There is no coffee available in the lobby either... I was told to go to the restaurant. After taking my son to use the pool... four days later he developed a terrible case of FOLICULITIS... CAUSED from not keeping POOL/spa treated with chemicals properly!! I contacted the management- with no reply or response. AVOID THIS HOTELl!!

Great resteraunt!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/15/08
We enjoyed our stays here. We find the rooms to be a little small for a family of 3, but aside from that everything else was above average. The restraunt has always been great. Chef Dave is awesome! Not sure if he is still employed there, did not see him on our last visit. He is as helpful as they come, and he knows his food! This was helpful for my husband and I, and our picky 5 yr old.

Beautiful Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/25/08
The hotel has been recently updated and reminds me of a hotel that you would find in a large city! It is gorgeous hotel with friendly staff and great location! The hotel has a walking trail right out its back doors alongside the river. My husband and I found that downtown Missoula has a lot to offer with shops, restaurants and more!! We loved it!

Way over rated!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/07
Our room had been reserved for one month, when we checked in I opened the door and there was a very shocked woman standing in front of me. We were given another room.this room was very small, narrow and felt cramped. The floor was weak and things shook when I walked from the door to the window. The bathroom was also very small and had no exhaust fan. I feel this was a very poor value. I have stayed in far nicer rooms for much less money!

Pleasant Hotel
By Joe B, 11/15/06
We found this hotel to be a very pleasant surprise in Missoula. Although not on the beaten path, this property is close to downtown, and has great access to the river walk! We certainly plan to return.
