THIS PLACE IS DEPLORABLE!!!!!!
By happy panda, 6/8/11
We had planed a short two night stay in Billings so my daughter and I could attend a function on Monday evening, We checked in on Sunday and not 10 min after our check in we heard a knock at our door My husband answered the door and on the other side was this nasty looking man with long hair , tattos , and he instantly started accusing my husband of "smoking pot". my husband has a medical marijauna card and has a legal right to use in his dwelling, as it had been a long drive and my husband suffers from fibromyalgia he needed the releif that his medication has been known to bring his stiffend joints and tense musles . But this member of the" Management" didn't want to hear it "You do it again you're out". So my husband agreed no to smoke any more. Next I would like to draw you a picture of the GROSS room we were given, let's see we were so far away from the pool, lobby area I felt like we were in a different motel and the only direct way to them was to walk all the way around the outside of the whole property . Oh yea we had our dog with us did I metion that this" pet friendly property" had no place for the dogs to go , my dog was very confused as to were to do his business. We were told that pets were not allowed in the courtyard and that was the only place with grass. Now about the Pool hot tub area HOW NASTY the slides are brown from God knows what, they had no life gaurd on duty and kids were just running wild up the stairs to the water slides and there was no safety gaurd to make sure one kid was clear before the next went, one man was going down 3 at a time no Safety precautions at all, The hot tub water was brown and smelled so strong of clorine it burned your eyes to sit in it, so needing fresh air I went out to the courtyard area, sitting in the courtyard I got a whole new education 2 of the maids were sitting under the gazebo area and chain smoking, just chatting up a storm, about how the water was recylced thru the whole place , yep the water in the pool was recycled to the tap, laundry , ect.... the hookers and how they got their keys, they just went on and on about what a nasty deplorable place this was. After being disgusted by the conversation I collected my daughter and we returned to our room, at that point my husband asked about the pillow top matt, and pointed out that the beds didn't have them as a matter of fact our daughters bed wasn't even level, The room was beyond gross it was moldy,in the bathroom there was dried pee on the floor all around the wall behind toilet,. They did not have the time to have the pictures on the walls straight. Me and my husband have nighty years combined alive, and have never benn treated as poorly as this. Feel that you should get the money you earned to to take your famaly on a trip back, forget about it! Their genaral manager was not avalible and the front desk refused our request for a refund because it had to be approved by him. . In most places of buissness they have things like standards like not letting your employees hang out at work off the clock, and take pride in what you do. DO NOT STAY HERE !!If you want good value for your money go to Howard Johnson less than a parking lot away but a world of differance

What a great surprise.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/13/11
After reading some of the previous review, we were leary of staying at this hotel but too a chance. The place was wonderful. Great staff from check in to check out. My son left his swim goggles in the pool (which had awesome water slides) and we figured they were gone forever. We called the desk the next day and they were in the lost and found room. A staff member delivered them to our room. My son was really stoked to get them back. Rooms were clean. Great big flat panel tv in the room. I was able to watch the NASCAR race as the kids swam and played with the ducks in the center area of the hotel. Anyway, it was a great stay and when we come back to Billings for the fair, I sure know we will be staying here again. Don't let some peoples comments fool you. This was a great place!!!!! Jim

Very disappointing
By Gwen, 9/2/09
My sister and I stayed in this hotel on the night of August 9, 2009. We arrived very late, with an exhausted 5 year old and 3 year old. We had reserved our room through Priceline. When I checked in, I asked if our room had 2 beds, since we had the kids, and this was met with a sigh, and I was told, "No, it's a queen room." This was changed for us, but we were then sent around to the back of the building. It seemed none of the lights in the parking lot were working, as it was very dark, which is not very comforting for 2 women traveling alone with 2 small children. When we entered our room, we pulled back the bedspread to find fairly fresh-appearing blood stains on the underside of the bedspread. We were too tired at this point to attempt to change rooms. We also heard noise from outside and the surrounding rooms. We did not use the shower facilities, as our previous discoveries left us rather discouraged about the cleanliness of the rest of the room. I sent this review directly to the hotel's email address provided on the website and have yet to get a response.

Roomy and Comfortable
By Pro-Fusion, 8/22/09
Very big and comfortable room. None of the negative reviews are even remotely accurate - this is a nice hotel and the staff is friendly and helpful. We got a great rate and a great stay.

beyond disapointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/9/08
my wife and i attended a christmas party put on by her employer this past weekend. An inncident occured after my wife left her cell phone on the table where we had sat. after realizing this we turned around to head back. once we arrived (aprox. 5 min after leaving) we were told that the table had been cleared and no cell phone had been found. my wife left all our info at the front desk incase it was found. upon getting home my wife decided to call and check on the situation, and also wanted to make sure a manager or suppervisor was notified as to what happened. the front desk girl semmed put out that my wife wanted to talk with a manager. after a short arguement the girl said "hold on a f-ing minute" the manager that my wife spoke to was very helpful and said she was aware of the situation. my wife told the manager that ther was a fifty dollar reward if anyone found it. we received a phone call about two min. latter. the phone had been found. we then drove back to the hotel to pick it up. my wife walked in to get the phone. the girl at the front desk was holding the phone in her hand so as my wife could retrive it the girl then proceded to try and tell my wife that she had not cursed at her and she didnt appreciate my wife telling the manager she had. the whole time holding the phone up so my wife could see it, but not giving her the phone until she spoke her mind. today i decided to call the owner of this hotel and explain what had happened. the owner basicly told me i was a liar and that this just hadnt happened because he already had the story from several other employees and according to him he was taking their word over ours. (sounds like one employee standing up for another so they wouldnt get in any trouble) also i belive if i had not offered a reward i would have never seen the phone again. i question the character of this hotels employees as well as the owner (Ron Spence) i will never and i do mean never ever step into this hotel for any resson. as for the appearence it resembles a hotel, however the customer service reminded me of a second rate motel. i would discourage all not to use this establishment.

wouldnt stay here again if they paid me
By Brandee, 8/27/08
we stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while my daughter had surgery. Was not worth the money at all, the room was dirty and the beds where hard, most of the staff was nice but a couple of them were very rude, when we requested a second crib for my 2 daughters she said they only had 2 in the hotel so we couldnt have more than one, a maid overheard her say this and brought the crib anyway.the kids did have fun on the water slides at least and they have a nice grass area the kids could play on. overall this motel is so not worth is though.

good but needs new beds
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/2/08
Our stay at the Billings Hotel was good. The lobby area is nice. Checking in and out was quick and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean. We had a drink in the bar. Good service. Good drinks. But was very smokey smelling so we didnt stay for more than one. My only suggestions to the hotel would be to get different beds/bedding; from softer more comfortable mattresses, better pillows, and new/thicker/softer sheets.

Good, Not Great
By Julie, 3/18/08
We stayed at the Billings Hotel while in Billings for our sons tournament. We received a discounted rate that was arranged by the school which was nice. The girl that checked us in was effecient but not very friendly. Our room was clean. The only problem was that we were on the second floor and there are no elevators. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was good. The pool was overcrowded with unsupervised kids and these same kids were running the halls all hours of the night. Wish that the hotel could have done more to control this; however, we know this is more of a problem of poor parenting and schools not properly supervising the kids. We will stay again the next time we are in Billings.

Don't go to Billings Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/12/08
Don't go to Billings Hotel. We made reservations to be in town for a martial arts competition in March 2008. We thought it was a good deal until we got there, and realized everything was cheap, dirty, and sick, not "economical" like we hoped. It was so bad we had to switch to another hotel for our second night in Billings (Quality Inn, which I would recommend and go back to next time). Billings Hotel room was dark and cold. Blankets on bed had holes that might have been chewed by either mice, rats, badgers, or the last family that died in the room. We had to manually operate the heater through-out the night. Water slides cost $15.00 for two adults and three young boys. Water slides had brown stains all the way down. What could cause this? Breakfast would have cost us $34.00 (excluding tip) as a family, if we were stupid enough to eat there. I'm told that Montana is too cold for cockroaches, but I suspect the Billings Hotel might prove the exception. Billings Hotel is due for a top-to-bottom delousing!!
