Go play for family of four in Saint Louis
By travelingwithwife, 08/18/09
Took my wife and kids for a getaway to Saint Louis. Did not know where to stay. Had a coupon through Travelbuddy that allowed us to stay there for $49.99 a night. Our room was clean and everything worked just fine. If you like big fluffly pillows this is your place. If you like flatter less filled pillows, bring your from home. Since we are a Priority Rewards Club member, we received four bucks off the breakfast buffet for one adult (the kids eat free). The breakfast buffet was awesome! The service there was great! I know that others have free breakfast buffets but this was quiet and relaxed and I was able to see the weather forecast on the TV from the local news channel. The bisquits and gravy and the bacon were the best! The next night we had no place in mind to stay and my wife said, "Let's go back to Holiday Inn that we stayed at last night." Is that a recommendation or what?! This time I and my two boys swam in the pool while my wife was enjoying the whirlpool where she wanted to go to sleep she was so relaxed. One suggestion, look in the clean towel basket before getting in the water. There were no towels in the clean towels basket when we went to get one. The men's poolside washroom was clean, too. Again, my wife wanted to go back to the restaurant here for breakfast again. Again, it was great! The desk staff was nice and curteous. Lots of restaurants in this area of town (from fast food to the Olive Garden). If you don't need to be next to the arch or Forest Park, save some money and try this Holiday Inn. Remember try Travelbuddy for a coupon for $49.99 a night--otherwise room was $99.00 a night.

Good place for a group
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/03/07
Our school history club visits St. Louis on a regular basis and we hve stayed at this hotel twice. We were treated very well by the staff. Our special requests such as a group breakfast set up and a game room were met and we were treated like special guests. The restaurant was very good. We were very pleased with our visits. There is a mall close by and the Krispy Kreme dougnut shop in walking distance was a big hit.

Just Average

I've become accustomed to staying at Holiday Inns for business. This one in particular was just plain ordinary. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The rooms were plain and in need of renovation. For example, my closet would barely open because the rollers had rusted. My toilet ran periodically. However, there was little to no noise even with the adjoining room (which I hate!). Too far away from the St. Louis airport for business travelers. I'd suggest the Holiday Inn Select near the airport.

Very Friendly
By gina, 09/15/05
My children & I were on our 1st vacation after their father had left me. I had made reservations at another hotel, wanting a hotel with an indoor pool, as it was still winter time. Well, the hotel we were to stay at was remodeling their pool area, so they let me out of the reservation and we went to the Holiday Inn. They were very accomodating and cared about the situation and gave us a beautiful suite for a double room price (well, it was the only room available). I was very thankful for their kindness and consideration. The hotel was very nice and the staff there was very friendly. We went back to St Louis the following year, and there was no doubt in our mind as to where would be staying. They will always have my business.

Very nice hotel with great location!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/05
Have stayed there twice, once in a suite and once in a regular room. The suite I would HIGHLY recommend as it is well worth the extra money in my opinion. Indoor pool and hot tub are very nice. Lobby is very nice as well and the staff was super-friendly and courteous when I stayed there. Also have heard the restaurant is good. Rooms were very clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my two stays there and would love to do it again.

nice place to lay your head down
By Aubrey, 07/17/05
The lobby area is very nice and the staff is super friendly. The room is much like any other Holiday Inn only slightly nicer. The indoor pool/hot tub area is nice and a good way to unwind from your day of sight seeing. But try not to stay on the first floor if possible as the chlorine smell comes all the way down the hall, as well as the noise from the pool. We were treated well and experienced no problems. Great place to stay.
