AVOID THIS PLACE

I booked three rooms for our family to attend a special event in Springfield, Missouri October 10-15, 2007.
I have stayed a Best Westerns World Wide and have been a member of the Gold Crown Club.
The Rail Haven motel in Springfield, Missouri was to say the least a very unpleasant stay. Not only did they fail to follow reservation instructions booked well in advance by charging me for one room by cancellation fee when the change had been made several days prior to our arrival. I had sent two faxes to this location and never received a response however when I arrived they had a copy of the fax stapled to my reservation request.
The last night of our UNPLEASANT STAY, which will be posted in a review of this location, a truck with an alarm parked out side of our room went off every 20 minutes from 1:30 A.M. until 8:20 A.M. Despite repeated calls to the front desk this matter was not taken care of. The only thing I was told was the owner had a sensor problem with the alarm and was not told to disconnect the battery or whatever. It just continued to go off. NO ONE GOT ANY SLEEP THAT NIGHT.
The desk or office personnel did NOTHING to correct this problem.
WE WILL NEVER…..REPEAT NEVER……stay at this location again and will advise our contacts to avoid this Best Western Location.
Sincerely,
Paul R. Wood
