Fair 4 a short stay
By Missy, 5/29/11
The price was right. We ended up with a smoking room which reeked, but other than that the room was clean the bed was comfy. You can tell the hotel is old, the door is squeeky the chairs have a few stains. All of our appliances worked. Parking was an issue unless you were early you probably wouldn't get to park infront of your room. We probably wouldn't stay again unless we definetly were to get a better room. Breakfast: juice, cereal n milk, waffles, bagels, muffins, toast, coffee!

would never go there again even if it were free!
By buggsjr, 7/8/07
This hotel was the worst I've ever stayed! It was dirty. The bath towels were gray and the wash clothes black! The furniture was dirty and stained. The smoke alarm was there, but hanging by wires. Only one light worked. I would never go back! And the free continental breakfast, what a joke! It was a bagel and some jelly! Not even coffee was made. And for 80.00 a night! This hotel does not even deserve one star. The housekeeper was knocking on the door at 9:30 wanting to know when we were leaving, we were gone in five minutes of that knock! Please folks, this is not southern hospitality at its best, don't go there.

Will drive home next time!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/06
We have never been so outraged in our lives. My Husband reserved a room for us on Friday, October 6, 2006 at the "Best Value Inn, Gulfport,MS. Parking was inadequate...we were told that we could park in the parking lot next door as long as we moved it before 7:00AM... There was NO SMOKE DETECTOR; only wires hanging from the ceiling, Stains that could have been from a pet being left in the room, no lampshades on lamps, cover on coffee pot was missing, no cover on the exhaust fan in bathroom, light in bathroom was barely hanging in the ceiling, comforters on the beds were extremely worn and raged, blanket had large pills on them, no cover on Air Conditioner, the smell was unbeleivable....and the room cost a WHOPPING $90.00.A friend of ours had reserved a room for the next day for $110.00 until I called her and warned her of what we found..SHE CANCELLED...THEY WOULD NOT LET US The cockatoo bird in the lobby had no manners either...they had him perched outside his cage and bird poop was all over the floor beneath the cage..I understand that a lot of these Hotels have been/are being remodeled due to Hurricane Katrina but this Hotel was far from being ready for customers...It was awful !!!
