Holiday Inn South, Rochester

So don't come here if you like quiet. The building is quiet but the guests are not. Clean and but dated. Their are to many hotels in this area to waste your time here

We were there with a youth soccer team, trying to enjoy ourselves in the pool area, where we had to contend with beligerant drunks, who apparently didn't like us "soccer moms" from out of town. At the very least, it was an upsetting experience for the kids. Late night karaoke singing in the bar could be heard from our room. Did not feel safe in this hotel. Not to mention, way overpriced.

This Holiday Inn is actually one of those with the exterior corridors built in the late 1960's era. Upon arriving, you can probably tell it has been added onto many, many times. Part of it even has inside halls now. It didn't seem too run-down and the pool area seemed well-kept, though the water was a bit too cold for my liking. For a family of four (my parents, myself, and my sister)it was adequate. One big drawback is the free cooked-to-order breakfast that tasted like it was prepared from an assembly-line,especially the scrambled eggs. The room was pretty clean, and the bathroom was nicer than some other Holiday Inns we've stayed at. Beds were a bit hard, but then again, what hotel bed is really that comfortable?

easy access to eating establishments, kid friendly, never any noise troubles in or out of rooms, always friendly staff, no hassle check in and out, bar on site(no driving or cab fares!!)

Great rates for repeat travelers like our business, which we stay for a couple of months at a time. The same company in Austin, MN does not do the same. I miss staying in Rochester. thank you Kevin Home Pro Builders
