Disgusting shame forLittleLeagueWorldSeriesPlayers
By Deanna, 09/01/09
My son arrived a day before and had to stay in the room with soaking wet carpet; mildew/mold smell; yellow water in shower; broken a/c; bugs in the bed; green scum in the swimming pools; broken hot tub; the restaurant shut down; barely working elevators; no working and mostly missing ice machines (the water hoses that were there were black with mold); broken soda machines; electrical outlets that sparked upon plugging something in. Our team finally checked out after 2 nights of arguing that we'd better not be charged for the rest of the reservation. The Canadian team left as well. My son's team had to continue to use the rooms to change uniforms after each game. The hotel checked new guests into the teams reserved rooms. Someone stole my son's cell phone, a player's jacket, and 2 practice shirts. The hotel staff are greatly ignorant, unhelpful, and rude. My son's baseball bat bag was probably delivered to the Ramada/Taylor and they refuse to help us look for it. Please do not EVER stay at this hotel. It should be deemed substandard and uninhabitable conditions. What do the people from the other countries think about the USA? They had no choice but to remain in that hotel. Ramada should bulldoze that place immediately or remove their name from it, because it gives Ramada a bad name.

Very nice stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/08
I was very pleased with my stay. Service was great and very friendly. The hotel is very convenient with nearby shopping and dining inhouse. The stuff did everything to make my stay a pleasant one. Yes, the hotel is being worked on "and looks great"! We'll stay again.

Avoid This Hotel
By russ, 08/05/08
The hallways were being renovated but why couldn't they vacuum the dust that was everywhere? The toilet worked every fifth flush. The ledge about the shower was filthy with grime and mold. My kids were harassed by roving bands of other guests kids. The roll away bed was unable to support 40 lbs of weight and cost $10. The fire escape door next to us had a broken lock. I was charged a dime for one piece of printer paper and the toner was so low i couldn't read the map i printed. The continental breakfast room was filthy, spills galore, the coffee was putrid, the cereal stale and no OJ. Depressing, dreary, dirty, dingy and degrading.

Great Place To Stay
By skellow, 01/04/07
i often stay at The Ramada in Taylor while doing business in the area, in fact it is the only place i stay do to its great location, friendly staff, and cleanliness. Each time i visit this hotel I notice that there is always another great change. You can tell that this staff and its operators care about the facilities and it's appearance. Oh ya and the food is great make sure you try The Oreleans Steak House even if you are just in the area.

the worst time ever.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/06
Me and my husband stayed 1 night in the ramada. It was the worst experience i have had at a hotel. I will never go there again and will not recommend it to anyone. About two weeks before our stay we booked a jacuzi suite, we had our credit card to reserve it. When we arrived for our night to stay we got our room card and proceeded to our room. Upon arrival our room was not the one we asked for and paid for. We got a jucuzi room instead. The suite had a living room and a seperate bedroom, 3 tvs, and the jacuzi was in the bathroom. The jacuzi room is just a plain old room with a jacuzi in it, which we did not want. We were shocked when we walked in and we went to the front desk to let them know this was the wrong room. They said we are sorry we booked you for the wrong room but theres nothing we can do about it because all of the suites are taken at this time. We asked if there was anything they could do for us and they said we can give you movie tickets. Very frustrated by now we just said fine and went to the room they gave us. We decided to make the best of it. We were going to go swimming and there were no towels in our room so we had to call the front desk to get some. Our toilet was broke and did not flush, There was no fitted sheet on the bed, just a fuzzy blanket and a comforter.GROSS! We went to get ice and the machines were all out. I asked some people working where i could get ice and none of them spoke english. I am not a picky person nor is my husband and i usually don't complain unless deserved. I read some bad reviews about this place already and decided to give it a chance and it was a very bad mistake. Like i said earlier about how we were offered movie tickets we went to pick them up on our way out and they said they were all. out. Sounds like they give them to unhappy customers alot

major disapointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/05
am writing this letter to relay the many inconveniences we experienced at our recent stay at the Ramada Inn located at 20777 Eureka Rd., Taylor MI 48180, from July 20 to 24, 2005.. My son was competing the World Inline Cup recently held in Taylor, Michigan. Your hotel was listed as one of the approved accommodation locations and our team chose yours. My major disappointment was I was not advised this location was undergoing major renovations at the time I reserved our room. I feel this is unacceptable as I did call the hotel directly and should have been made aware of this. Upon check-in we were forced to weave our way through a maze of traffic cones and caution tape as they were sealing the parking lot. This process took 3 of the days we were there. The lobby was in total shambles. There was no counter when I checked in and there were wires hanging from the ceiling, furniture in the lane out front ( which was still there when we checked out), no tiles on the floor, dust everywhere and constant noise. I had to return later that same day to complete the check-in as the computers were not functioning when we first arrived. We stayed in Room 580 which is a suite. The cooling system in this room was not up to my normal standards. I have stayed in numerous hotels before and have always found that if I turned the cooling unit on high I would have to turn it off within an hour as the room would be too cold. Our unit stayed on high the full stay but never got that cool. The saving grace was I managed to find a fan in a storage room across the hall from our unit. The hallways and elevator were liking walking into a sauna. You will notice I wrote elevator. That is because there were 2 elevators, but only 1 was turned on during our entire stay which made for numerous long waits. Oh, by the way, the ceiling in the elevator was plywood. The second morning I heard a knock on our door at approximately 8:15 a.m. from housekeeping. She knocked but entered the room before I could answer the door. She asked if I wanted the room made up. I said no, as there were still people sleeping. She asked if we needed towels or coffee and again I replied in the negative. I assumed she would return later in the day. Guess what, she didn't. We notified the front desk of this and they said they would note it and asked if we needed anything. I asked for a garbage bag and was provided one, but I feel our room should have been looked after. We never heard anything more from them.

Not very happy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/30/04
My son was married this last weekend and we booked all the guest a room at the Ramada. From the booking to the service to elavators not working it was a nightmare. I have stayed at many Ramada's and this one was the worst I have ever stayed at.We tried to get extra towels and was told that they didn't speak English and didn't understand what we wanted. The heat in our
room would not go off and the air would not come on. It was very hot all night in our room.We had asked for a block of rooms and we were put all over the motel. My son and new daughter in law stayed in the honeymoon suite. Very disappointed in that. The Ramada in Marquette gave a friend of ours son a bottle of champane and the room was wonderful. This was far from wonderful.
So I would stay away from this Ramada.
