The absolute worst hotel we ever stayed In!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/11/12
Our stay at 3 Palms Hotel was one oof the worst experiences we have ever had while traveling. It was easy to see why there were only a handful of cars in the parking lot that weekend. From the minute we checked in it was a nightmare... *Ground Floor door to the parking lot was propped open "to bring in some fresh air".we werew told.......our concern was security issues because of this *No telephone (it was pulled completely out of wall)!. *No remote for the TV. After letting front desk know we waited over an hour for someone to bring us one and when no one showed up we left our 3rd. floor room to get one at the front desk! *No screens on crooked windows so they couldn't be opened to air out room! *White washcloth (1 to a room) was so thin you could see through it! *Top sheet was so old my toe went through the bottom of it when I got into bed! *It took 2 of us to push open the door to our room to enter or exit! *No pool or sauna as was advertised on their website. When we inquired they told us it was under construction! False advertising??? *Our daughters room had all the baseboard ripped off and what looked like mold was visible! Health Dept. issue??? *No hot water came out of bathroom sink...we had to use bathtub faucet to freshen up! The staff that manned the front desk was the only..and I mean the only pleasant thing about our stay. I e-mailed the owners of this horrible excuse for a hotel and gave them the opportunity to reply back before I left feedback and of course being the non-professionals they are I was completely ignored. We did take pictures of as many of these "issues" as we could and will make sure none of our friends ever book a room there. So unless you are etremely desperate for a room I would absolutely recommend your paying a few dollars more and booking a room elsewhere. MP

Nasty
By Michael H, 10/23/11
I am traveling for 30 years now for business. In this time i never saw a nastier place like that. Not even it Mexico and China. Dirty, dirty, dirty. The clerk needed to search for a clean room. The 4th room was kind of clean. Don´t go there. In former times this hotel was nice, but then it was a Holiday Inn.

Give Palms a chance
They have a ways to go but the rooms were nice and clean, very quiet and resonable cost for the area since everything is close, need to get a resturant or food option. landscaping is much better than last stay and clerks were helpful, looks like they intend to stay.

great customer service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/14/11
the hotel is under renovations and has a long ways to go but the friendliness of the staff, lisa and bianka, was awesome. they went out of their way several different times to make sure we had towels, pillows, and a pleasant stay. without them, the stay would not have been that great.

NO AMMENITIES
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/10
this hotel should be called NO AMMENITIES... no pool, no breakfast, no TV, you have got to be kidding me!!!! for the price they are charging you should be getting it all. I have never stayed in a hotel that offered nothing including no tv..... while the front desk clerk, Lisa was super friendly and working hard to meet our needs, the rest of the hotel was lacking. Nice try Lisa, but the rest of the hotel doesn't compare to you.

This place is FILTHY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/09
This is the dirtiest hotel I've ever been in. The carpeting is stained everywhere and it smells throughout the entire hotel. Checkin was a disaster and the girl who checked me in was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. Very unprofessional place. It would be worth the extra money to stay next door at the DoubleTree. They also double charged my credit card. Do not stay at this hotel

Old and delapadated, never again! Never to return!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/25/08
Lobby staff let the phone ring off the hook!Clean towels, but had to ask...not enough soap, coffee, etc. Carpet was wet around the air conditioner, and the window leaked. There was a large rain storm, and afterward the pool had water that backed up and wasn't able to be used, although no one closed the pool. There was trash on the surrounding area, and the entire place looked as though no one cared. There was an awful smell! Not sure if it was backed up sewage or what! There was an advertised restaurant, but was closed, only a bar, that no one took advantage of! Bay City was good, there was week day events, but the hotel personnel didn't have any recommendations, so we had to take chances. Example: Music in the park on Wednesday night. Tuesday specials at the Fish Restaurant on the river. G's Pizzeria was great and no one was eating there, so how did we find it...not because the hotel let us know. Great time because we made it that way...not due to your hotel or staff.

Great POOL
By charles_paulae, 6/9/06
This hotel was a little off the highway but sat very very close to the bay. It was a nice walk to area eating and a beatiful view of the water. The outside needed some up keep, but the pool area was the best I have found in a long time. The pool & whirl poop temp. was just right. It was also a great value with very friendly staff.

No internet access
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/17/05
The Holiday inn in Bay City billed itself as business traveller friendly, but I was very disappointed to find it provided no internet access. There was some vague promise of it coming soon, but that did not help me!
