Went back 2 times this year and will go again
By ,
Great price - wonderful service. Everything was very clean. This is not a Hilton or a romantic B&B so don't go expecting that. Do go for a clean, friendly great value. Loved the ski discounts and warm pool and jacuzzi upon return. Stayed here and went to Bousquet to ski. Both places warm and welcoming! Even loved the little lounge in the evening. We'll be back!

Cozy, Comfortable & Wonderful!
By ,
My husband and I have gone to The Yankee Inn for years. The staff have always treated us well and they have always gone out of their way to help us. The rooms are always clean and neat. The views are tranquil and lovely. Breakfast is satisfying and always fresh. The pool water is warm and the entire area is always clean. This place is truly home away from home. We can't wait to go back!

Another great stay, Love this place!
By ,
My husband and I went to the Berkshires last weekend and for our second time to the Yankee Inn. It was so great to be welcomed by the friendly staff, and the hugs and kisses package provided a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room! The jacuzzi rooms are big and cozy, indoor pool is beautiful, and the pond in the back yard- gorgeous! so relaxing, you wont remember that your only a few hundred feet from the highway! Will be going back soon for tanglewood!!

Only reason we stayed was the Pool with Jacuzzi
By ,
Room too small, vanity area extremely cramped for 2 people. Toilet not function adequately. Staff never removed trash or replaced towels. Slight musty odor that dissapated by 2nd day. Room clean. Outside second floor level in our area poorly lit. 1st night stair light not lit. To left at top of landing was another poorly marked step that caused me to stumble. Wall across from our room increased darkness making it difficult to use room key - no outside room light. After we reported problems, staff quickly had the light to stairs lit, and lit the light on the last door to the room next to us room which also had the advantage of street and motel lighting - our room did not have that advantage. Noisy public road, but not noticable when room door closed. Breakfast room could not accommodate everyone. Guests had to stand outside in lobby area or the lucky few could sit on a few sofa type chairs and one small couch. Breakfast adequate. Staff very polite and helpful with some issues, but made major mistakes at check-in with information. With travel coupon paid reduced price 1st night. Next night paid more. Feel sorry for guests who paid full price. Not worth it. Have had excellent experience at other motels using travel coupons. Would not frequent the Yankee again.

Won't get fooled again!
By ,
This motel is not at all what we expected. It was no different than any other chain motel found along a US highway, other than that it was much more expensive. The photos showed lots of trees and a lake, but conveniently don't show the highway just yards from the front door. Nor does the website mention that all the trees in the left hand side of the photo have been removed to make way for a construction project...possibly an additional building...that has destroyed the view and peace in the back rooms. The motel is advertised as being located in Lenox and shows pics of the scenic little village. But this motel is not located in downtown Lenox. It's actually on the very edge of town. You can't walk anywhere from there! In addition to this, the rooms were dirty and the service was poor. Please check other reviews on the web before deciding on this place. I wish we had done that.

Over priced
By ,
The Yankee was over priced and did not live up to our expectations. Our room was not as clean as it should have . The employees were not friendly at all.

Pros and cons
By ,
We stayed here for one night on a visit to Tanglewood. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the price was right. Soon after we arrived the toilet overflowed, and when I called the desk to report it, I was asked if it could be plunged, and would I like someone to come and fix it? This seemed an unusual question, but I answered that I would like someone to fix it. We waited a bit (15 minutes) and no one came. When I went to the desk, I was asked if I wanted a plunger or someone to come and fix it for me. I wonder how many people pay $163 a night for a hotel room and plunge their own toilet. In the end, it was fixed and remained in working condition for the rest of our visit. The outdoor pool was lovely upon first look, but there were uncovered filter intakes, which seemed ominous even if they were not turned on. Once I noticed them, my children came right out. The indoor pool was better but the water seemed too warm to be healthy. The hot tub was great. The breakfast was good, but I recommend going early to avoid crowds and and get a seat. We went at 10:15, and ended up carrying our food back to our room.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else!
By ,
We have stayed at the Yankee Home Comfort for several years and the owners are always making improvements! There's really not much to improve. The rooms are spacious and clean, the pool and hottub are always clean and in working condition. The continental breakfast is a definite plus. Very close to several ski areas including Jiminy Peak and Bousquet. Great dining (especially at the Dakota) in the area! Rates are competitive and many discounts are accepted. i.e. AAA, entertainment, etc. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.
