Soothing Escape
Our first trip to NE and Salem - marvelous! It's such a fun place to visit. We can't wait to return. Thank you for our soothing and joyful escape. Absolutely what I had expected.
Our room was very clean, comfortable, spacious and charming, with king bed, Jacuzzi bath, interesting antiques and art work. The Inn provides complimentary coffee in the rooms, sherry in the guest parlor and a wonderful, expanded breakfast buffet, with assorted pastries, quiche, fruits, cereals, yogurt and juices. The "breakfast room" is really quaint and historic, too. This cozy room with brick and stone walls is on the lower level of the main building, the Catain West House, and opens out to a very private, secluded and tranquil courtyard.
The location of the Inn is perfect for touring. Not only are all the sights and attractions of Salem a short stroll away, but there is also a commuter train to Boston. In 30 minues, you can be in the fascinating and very historic capital city of Massichusetts. During our visit, we also took day trips along the coast to the famous fishing town of Gloucester and the well-known towns of Concord and Lexington.
We will return again, without hesitation, to enjoy this wonderful town. All in all, our stay in Salem was particularly enjoyable due to the delightful Salem Inn. Thank you so much.
