Can't beat the location
By ,
Millennium Boston is in a great location, and backs up its location with first rate accomodations. Step outside the front door and you are in the thick of downtown Boston. You can walk to most anywhere you need to go, or have easy access to the subway. We like to walk and the Freedom Trail and North Side are just minutes away. Rooms are well done, with enough room for the traveler who spends most of his time on the streets instead of the room. Front desk staff very well informed and helpful. Value at $200 a night in mid-July was excellent. Only complaint was that wireless was offered only in the lobby and not the rooms. I'd stay there again. BOB from COBB

Great Location
By ,
Great location at a nice hotel. It wasn't the best place I've ever stayed at, but was still nice and resonably priced for Boston. The room was in need of some work. Mostly from peeling wallpaper. Carpets were ok, a little tuffed, but at least clean. Service was standard, nothing above and beyond. We tryed to check in early, but they only offered a queen when we wanted a King. They told us to check back later which we did an hour or so later and our room was ready. Great view and the best location. All in all we had a great weekend. (the nice weather helped)

Great Location - Poor Hotel
By ,
I am easily pleased, but this hotel was second rate at best. The room had a dirty carpet, stained furniture that I did not even want to sit on, & a broken light fixture (that was never repaired after being reported). There is no front desk, but two small writing desks with chairs in front. I guess the idea is to cultivate a feeling of intimacy & special customer care. Nothing could be further from my experience. There was always a wait of at least 5 minutes to talk to the front desk (since I never saw more than one employee there) & then the entire lobby (if you can call it that) is privy to your conversation. And do not even think about checking in before 3:00 p.m. One night, housekeeping actually folded one of my used towels & replaced it on the linen bar. I had room service one night, which was served by a rather surly staff member, & was disappointed in the food. This hotel should be ashamed. The only thing that saved it from total disaster for me was the location..right across the street from Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market

A Hotel in Decline
By ,
This was once a very nice upscale hotel that was nicely appointed with great service. It seems to be attracting more "families" and it is showing the wear. Carpeting needs to be replaced, wallpaper changed out, and service needs to improve. On the plus side it is still one of the most convenient hotels in the city, with the best location.

Excellent value in downtown Boston
By ,
We were looking for a "reasonably priced" place to stay in Boston for a few days. The Millennium is right in the middle of the city across the street from Fanueil Hall and easy walking distance to the North End, Beacon Hill, Boston Common, etc. It was clean and neat and the staff was courteous. For the price, it is an excellent overall value.

On the way down
By ,
I have stayed here many times and have always enjoyed the hotel, but not this time. It is in need of some refurbishing and replacing carpets etc. It still offers many amenities, not the least is the actual location but it is time to upgrade.
