Bad experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/07
We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights, but won't recommend it to any one. The staff was impolite, indifferent and not helpfull at all. Once we were allowed in our room (our room wasn't ready at 3.00 p.m., although this was promised to us), we could hear everything what was going on in the hallway and the rooms next door. Especially at night this was a disturbance. In the bathroom there was one tiny bottle of shampoo for two persons. Luckily we brought our own! The only thing worth mentioning is the location. It was centrally located, but that's it.

More Motel than Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/25/07
The hotel service was less than poor. The hotel had service issues including a broken toilet, and another room with no power. Although these issues were addressed after check-in they should have been taken care of before guests were allowed to check into the rooms. The hotel has an odor like that of musty carpets or a house with too many pets. Location is great but, you shouldn't expect much more than that!

Great location, but that's abou it
By asking, 07/24/06
Besides the location, which is in the heart of Harvard Square, this hotel was a major disappointment. It was pretty dirty and the toilet in the bathroom wasn't properly fastened to the wall. It cost about $155 a night - and that was with a Harvard program discount - but they charged $30 a night for parking and $10 for 24 hours of internet. I wound up paying for amenities that should have been included for free. Overall I didn't get my moneys worth.

This is not the hotel you think it is
By Sam, 01/17/06
This is not the Charles River View Hotel, which is next door. Service is fine and location is excellent, but this is a very minimal place to stay with small rooms that are clean but tight and are murder if you have loud neighbors. Wireless service was hard to access.

Small Rooms with Expensive Phone and Parking
By Karl, 04/21/04
The location great if you are visiting Harvard - one block from Havard Square. But for about $140/night + tax + 25$/night parking + 1$/local call (including 800 numbers) for a very cramped room, it's not a great deal - it was the most expensive and smallest room of our trip to Boston and Montreal. Room was clean but service from staff was unremarkable. We'll be looking for someplace else on our next visit to Boston. PS - Don't drink the room bottled water - it's 4$.
