Ive never written a review before either... and i was reading through these ones.. im a plymouth local and i know A LOT about this hotel and have known a few ex employees, and everything everyone is saying is true.. Ive stayed here a few times. not by choice either. the G.M. Antonio, is an addict.... aderol is one of his favorites..asking some of his staff members to get drugs for him, and the never ending circulating rumors of him sexually harrassing his staff. Which i know he had caught a case for. Also him involved with the front office manager..Jaime, she's half his age. And she's very rude and unprofesional herself, not to mention. The housekeeping is a joke...they are so much in debt..the get their cleaning supplies from the dollar store...yes the dollar store. the girls they hire...i mean really...can u do a background check?? oh yes that would mean u would have to PAY for it.. which they cant afford... When ur staying here for more than one day..alll the girls do is come get ur dirty laundry and replace it...ur right, they dont vacuum or clean or even change ur sheets...they r too busy hanging around there "patio" sitting at the tables enjoying their lunch and smoking ciggaretts..everytime i went around the hotel during the day, there was a housekeeper smoking...around GUESTS! absurd... no standards or morals in this place.. o ya maintenance???? jokeee my grandfather could do better repairs..and he can barely see anymore. please if u dont want to catch a disease or be utterly disapointed with what u just payed for the room. DONT STAY HERE

would NEVER stay here again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/8/11
I have never written a review before but do read others when booking..somehow I missed these reviews. . We had 7 rooms booked and the town had multple weddings that day so even though we tried to relocate, everything was booked. The smell of must, cigarettes, and dirt was amazing. The bedspreads were stained, the carpet was shredded, the chairs and dressers had cigarette burns in them. The place was old, dirty, smelly, outdated, and rundown. We had to get lysol wipes and air fresheners immediately. We asked housekeeping for fresh towels several times...went to front desk eventually and asked them. Had we gotten one bad room because they were supposedly under renovations I could understand it, but all 7??. I have never stayed in such a filthy smelly hotel. It does have an amazing view and the location is ideal.

Not Rennovated! Rude General Manager, !irty!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/25/11
We gave this hotel another try after a previous experience where we found the rooms to be musty and the hotel dated because the website lead us to believe the hotel had been renovated. The website was very misleading because when we checked in, the rooms we were given very outdated and smelled musty and like cigarette smoke. I immediately went down to the front desk to ask to have the rooms clean and tell them we were unhappy that the rooms weren't renovated. The general manager came out and was rude and said if we're unhappy then he'll refund our money and we can stay somewhere else, an impossible proposition since we needed 2 rooms. He said he wouldn't change our rooms or clean them. Again, he was so very rude in his tone and manner. Finally, an associate named Sabrina checked the computer and said that there were 2 other rooms we could have that had been "renovated". The manager hesitated to give us the rooms and tried to insist on refunding us the money. Since we had 4 children excited about their beach vacation, I refused the refund and he finally relented. Sabrina was even nice enough to get a night comp’ed for us but the rest of our experience was just as bad. Renovation consisted of a newer carpet, not painting or anything else we could identify. One shower and sink wouldn't drain and one toilet didn't flush correctly. The outlet where one of the fridges was plugged into kept blowing so we had to move the fridge to a new location (since they never came to address any of these things). There was even a huge hole underneath the carpet on the walkway that wrapped around the building that my nephew tipped over. Finally, the cleaning staff was horrible. They didn't vacuum on the first 2 days until we asked them to come back and do so (4 kids and beach sand) and they didn’t vacuum again after that either. We had to ask for towels every day because they didn't leave any clean ones - one day they didn't even take the dirty ones. They never cleaned the toilets (the toilet bowls got darker and darker ever day), the showers or the floors in the bathrooms. My niece stubbed her toe and got blood on a sheet and the next day, it was still there, they didn't change our sheets once. We will never stay there again! We are not picky people, we don’t need 5 star accommodation but we do need clean and safe. This was outside of what was acceptable.

Would not recommend it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/10
The only good thing about the place is that it is right across from the harbor. The rooms were poor quality and bare essentials, beds and a 19" tv with horrible color and limited channels, no internet. Housekeeping was horrible ! First morning, we put sign on the door not to clean, got back and they had gone in anyway, made the bed but took the plastic bag out of the basket of trash and left it on the floor, didn't leave clean towels. Second day requested the room be cleaned, they didn't make the bed, still didn't take the bag of trash but did leave us stack of clean towels and a note apologizing for not getting to our room. Pretty much only thing available was a cup of coffee in the morning. Little refrigerator froze our bottles of water solid. People above us were bowling or wrestling until 1:30 in the morning. Office closes at 8:00 p.m. so nobody to contact.

Probably won't return
By Mike B, 7/2/10
We spent 5 nights there and have to say that the pool and location were the only positive experiences that we had. The third night there, we discovered that some of our medication was missing. The management refused to take responsibility for it, although we knew we had packed it. We thought it was odd that the housekeepers cleaned the rooms with the doors closed. The sheets and pillowed smelled of mildew and smoke. I would not recommend it and the time we spent sorting out the missing medication with the management was not worth it. The pool was nice, however.

The only good thing was the view
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/5/09
I got the nicest type of room that had a view of the Mayflower- we were very excited. When we opened the door to our room we were hit by a wall of the worst smell of old cigarettes. It was disgusting. The room is old, dumpy. No hair dryers! I also got double charged for this - so be careful! Be sure to stop by the winery right next door!
