Clarion Carriage House Inn, Sudbury

The rooms smelled bad and the hotel was extremely noisy could hear everyone in rooms around us. Only stayed here because it is close to family I think it is only hotel within 10 miles of Sudbury, which is why they can charge such outrageous rates

The room was nice and large, the bathroom a bit smaller than competitors, and the TV (which was CRT) didn't have a great deal of channels. The bed was clean and comfortable, and there was a refrigerator in the room. There was also a desk that was a comfortable work space. I didn't try the internet. Breakfast was excellent.

Wow, this hotel was a perfect fit for my last trip. If your tired of the cookie cutter hotel then this is the place for you. I was very surprised by the quality of service and their willingness to help me with directions and refer me to great restaurant next door. The manager called me personally to make sure my stay was enjoyable and he was happy to assist my wife with her bags when we checked out. Hats off to the staff and management of this small hotel.

Our daughter was getting married at Longfellow's Wayside Inn which is right down the road ~ less than a mile away. We were able to have all of our closest friends and relatives stay with us at the Clarion Carriage House. The setting was more intimate and homey than bigger hotels, and having the suite with connecting rooms made it possible for us to visit with everyone more easily. We have some lovely photos of the bride taken on the staircase and in the beautiful living room. The sumptuous breakfast included in the price of our rooms was another bonus. Not having an elevator was no problem for us at all, since it's only 3 floors and there are entrances at 2 levels. The fresh cookies and fruit were great! Just one improvement that we could think of would be if it were an entirely non-smoking hotel.
