Best Hotel in the Area! Awesome staff!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/15/11
I stayed at the Wyndham for Valentine's day. I booked a Sweetheart's package at a very affordable price! My stay was great, I can't thank the staff enough for making this day so special, for me and my husband. Everyone was so friendly and professional at all times. The hotel is very nice, I loved the decorations, everything was meticulous clean. Our dinner at the restaurant On The Bone was delicious, and the service was great! In the morning we had a full breakfast buffet and was delicious as well, nice variety and the chef made the best omelettes ever!!! I highly recomend the Wyndham Andover Hotel! I am absolutely coming back!!

Negative experience!
By Steve, 10/18/09
My wife and I attended a wedding in the area on October 16, 2009. The both of us were looking forward to staying at the hotel and looking forward to using the time as a mini vacation. I’m sorry to say however the stay at the hotel was one of the worst I’ve ever been in. When checking into the hotel, the person at the counter didn’t even say “Welcome” or “How are you?”. Instead, they went right into asking me for my name and credit card. They then said that I was going to be charged $50 for incidentals! I asked what incidentals were and they said “That’s if you break something or use the phone or order a movie. You’re not really charged but the funds are put on hold until you check out.” I left it at that, advised them that I would like to pay cash for the room upon checking out. They said that wouldn’t be a problem. I got my room cards to the room and headed to the room. The room quality was on the line of being just ok. The room smelt like bleach, and I was unable to open any window or open the door to the patio due to the deadbolt. I went down to the bar/lounge to get a drink and something to eat. It was around 3:00pm and there were only a couple other people in the bar area. I ordered a drink and a club sandwich from the menu. I took over 45min for my sandwich to be made! That was ridiculous! The following morning, we got woken up at 8:00am by someone banging on the door. My wife got out of bed to answer the door to find a maid walking into the room on her own to clean it! It would have been fine but the maid kept banging, not knocking, until she walked in on my wife and I! The maids should check with the front desk to see what rooms have checked out before banging on doors and waking people up! After that, I got up and started getting ready for the day. At 9:00, I went down to the lobby go get some coffee the hotel had set up at a table. All the coffee was gone and when I asked the staff, they said “We’ll make some more in a while.” After that, I wasn’t even about to try the breakfast in the restaurant. When checking out, I paid with cash and was told to wait a few days to show a credit on my credit card. I told them I thought it was just a hold placed on the funds and the counter person said we already charged you before you checked out! It was only 10am and checkout wasn’t until noon. This was the worst hotel I have ever been in. I hope other Wyndham locations are more customer friendly! This visit was just a very negative experience!

Front Desk Rude and Too Expensive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/22/08
Had a very rude front desk agent when I checked in. And, I believe that it is overpriced. Was also hard to find. I will probably stay elsewhere next time.

Holiday Cheer!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/07
I was lucky enough to find this hotel during a bad snow storm. We were headed to Boston and just could not make it. We stopped at this hotel, and I feel we were really lucky to find such a nice hotel. The employees were so eager to help. We had a nice room with a king bed. It was really clean. Wireless internet was free to the guest, nice bonus! It was cozy and comfortable. We went to have dinner and had "Matt's Meatloaf". Wow, what a treat! The hotel was so nicely decorated for the holiday season. The Front Desk staff warned us about the roads and seemed concerned about our safety. Their staff even dug our cars out of the snow. Bad luck on the snow storm, good luck on finding such a nice hotel.

Awesome Night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/07
I love this Wyndham Hotel.. My sister surprised me with a reservation for my first year anniversary.. I love the Service that the front desk staff and the room service attendant provided. Not only were they aware of the anniversary but the also offer the next day late check out of 2pm..!!!! Amazing.. When we arrived to our room, a bottle of sparkling champagne was delivered along with chocolate cover strawberries..!! I cannot wait to visit another of your properties and experience the same service.. Kudos to all your staff member..

Overall I'm impressed!
By Lisa C, 9/21/07
I'm finishing my last night of a one week stay at the Wyndham Andover Hotel and am comfortably typing this from my room. We booked in advance and got a reduced rate of only $55/night for a business trip. I wasn't expecting much but was amazed at the quality of this hotel! The rooms (mine and my traveling companion) were spotless and meticulously cleaned each morning. The showers were wonderful, one of my regular complaints. The food has all been great! It's in a great location right off 93 and next to a fantastic Italian restaurant, 30 minutes out of Boston if there's not traffic. The pool area looked very nice. I only have a few minor complaints. The wireless connection was a tad slow, about 85kbps true connection speeds (don't expect to watch many videos). But that may have been due to the high number of people in the hotel connecting. Neither of us had a little refrigerator, which would have come in handy. The waitress in the bar area kept messing up our orders and was very rude, we ordered straight off the menu and were polite, so it was uncalled for. There aren't many channels, about 25, the rest are paid movie channels. I plan on coming back to visit Boston and will probably come back to the Wyndham Andover. For the price it just can't be beat. The negatives are so minor they're far outweighed by the positives, it's comfortable, safe, and clean!

Save yourself, find a better hotel
By C, 10/23/05
This is the most terrible hotel I have ever paid $100+/night to stay in. Starting from check-in, I was treated to a dismal display of inept and inhospitable treatment. First, I was given a room that was already occupied. After trundling my luggage back and forth to the far end of the hotel for this experience, I had to listen to the desk clerk make the lamest excuses (as if I cared why I just scared some poor lady half to death innocently thinking it was my room, and unoccupied). Then, it turned out that the hotel Internet access barely worked, but rather than actually help me, the front desk told me to call the 800 number for the hotel's ISP. Excuse me? I don't work for Wyndham. After a lot of haggling, the hotel's technician was sent up. Poor guy - it seems that the entire hotel has a bad internet connection, and he is kept busy day and night responding to complaints about which he could do very little. All this for an extra $10/night, when most good hotels (such as Starwood brands) are offering free Internet. The next day, I was shocked to learn that the $10 I paid for not being able to connect to the internet in the room the night before, would not permit me to access the Internet from the lobby! So, I resigned myself to get some breakfast and await my ride to my meeting. Surprise, the breakfast buffet - except that there was no one manning the buffet and I had to wait at least 10 minutes for the cook to "come back from break" and provide me with some food. For a 500+ room hotel, charging $100+/night, I would think that they could hire some staff to serve the guests. Never mind the fact that this was the DIRTIEST hotel I've stayed in since I got stuck in a Motel 6. The whole place stank of smoke, the bar was seedy, with the barkeep more interested in reading the newspapers than getting me a drink, check, etc, the carpets look like they haven't been cleaned since the Reagan administation, etc. TO TOP IT ALL OFF - when I had finally had enough and asked the girl at the desk (who was all by herself trying to check in/out guests, answer phones from complaining inmates/guests, and do everything else under the sun) where I could find a manager to discuss my bad experience in this hotel, I was stunned to learn that THERE WAS NO MANAGER ON-DUTY!!! What? At 9-10am on a weekday? At this point I gave up all hope of walking away from this feeling like there was some reason that this hotel was such a dump. I will never stay in a Wyndham again.

Did you say Chocolate dipped Strawberries?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/25/05
Overall my stay at the Wyndham was great.I felt very relaxed in the spacious room. The King size bed was very comfortable with the oversized pillows and fluffy comforter.Everything was intact and in great location. The TV was opposite the bed, therefore making it very comfortable to watch. The room had double sinks and coffee maker, which is a must for me.Everything looked, smelled and felt clean. Location is great, because you dont have to go into the big city to find a great hotel. It is convieniently near the highway, minutes away from Boston or New Hampshire. Service was great.Although I was given the wrong room at first, the front desk was able to promptly give me the correct room I had reserved (non smoking)Staff was very friendly.Chocolate chipcookies, chocolate dipped strawberries and soda were brought to the room,at no extra cost.Diningware was brought to the room upon request. For the price of less than $80.00, the vlaue exceeded my expectations. You cant even get a motel for this price!
