Comfort Inn North Shore, Danvers

The hotel was great. The room was great. The food was great. The pool was great. The service was great. I would stay here again.

Expected a little more for the price. We stayed here specifically because they have a pool. The filter needs to be run once in a while. The water tasted like salt and had a slimey feel, and should be vacuumed. No hot tub. Has a small workout room, that looks twice as big as it is because of the mirrored wall. The room was clean. The beds were hard. Breakfast was better than expected. Fresh waffels, toast, hard boiled eggs, muffins, apples and oranges, coffee, hot chocolate and juices (very clean and helpful staff).

One of my favorite hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. They made our stay very enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

12/26/2007 The room was nice and clean good size TV, WiFi and wired internet,available fridge/freezer/microwave and breakfast were all good. But they heavily emphasize the indoor heated pool and its is a nice pool that must have cost a lot to put in but...the air in the pool room is too COLD (no sign of any heat in there) and the pool water is COLD because they only have two 3/4" pipes bringing hot water in occasionally and that is just not enough. It did not matter what time of day or night the pool and the pool room are always too cold. It's a shame really they spent all that money to make an unusable indoor pool. Numerous guests came to pool but found same too cold room and water and never went swimming. I called the front desk and they said they could do nothing about the coldness of the room air or the pool water. The emergency pool equipment life-saver, rope etc. were behind another wall not easily accessable and both the mens and womans bathrooms near the pool had dirty floors and less than clean conditions. During the late night early morning someones vehicle that was parked in a parking space closest to the front entrance of hotel had it's window broken and it was said the fellows GPS and electronics were stolen. There was no posted warning about this risk though another guest said that all of the other local area hotels have warnings posted. So if it were not for these serious problems I would give it five stars on all accounts but...one of the main reasons to choose this hotel is the very advertised indoor heated pool and you expect its usable and rest rooms for pool area to be clean, and who wants to risk their vehicle. They should have security cameras but apparently not and if there are security patrols of parking area obviously they are not adequet.

The front desk manager was very helpful. Offered us check-in at 9am, and told us to get breakfast too! Everyone was very friendly, and will do anything to make your stay perfect. Beds were the best ever. Look no further. This is the place to stay in Danvers, MA.

The people at the hotel were so very friendly and helpful in every way possible,,,especially Nancy and Dan..I dealt mostly with Nancy and we had to leave a day earlier because I became ill....Nancy could not have been kinder and sweeter,,,she called the manager over (Mary I think) and both were very helpful in telling me how I could get a refund,,,which I did,,,Nancy also wished me well when we left....The room was very large and clean and the free breakfast was top--notch...everything about our stay was perfect and my sister and niece and myself highly recommend the hotel..my sister and the rest of her family is planning on going back next oct. and will definitely stay at the COMFORT INN..might even ask for the same room...Kudos to the friendly folks at the hotel..and in the state of Massachusetts....This from a New Yorker and a DIE--HARD YANKEE FAN.

I totally enjoyed my stay here. The staff is friendly the rooms are nice, and the housekeepers does a great job! Thumbs up is all i can say for this joint

Before arriving I was unsure of the quality you could receive for less than 60 bucks a night. Comfort Inn was great. I could go on and on but I will list the best things about our stay! * Friendly Staff * Very Clean Rooms * Soft sheets/ Great Pillows * Great Cable * Nice Pools * Delicious Free Breakfast If you plan on visiting Boston the Jack Mayfield Tour is the only way to go. Jack provides a wonderful guide of the city at a great rate!

I've read other reviews about Comfort Inn Danvers, and despite some of them being very critical, my husband and I decided to take a chance on it. We stayed there May 5-12, 2007. We appreciated the fact that it was located near the freeway entrances for convenience sake, and was amazed that despite it's location, it was still a quite and peaceful place. Perhaps they had renovated since the some of the other people posted a comment, because are room was nothing like previously described. It was clean, and spacious. The carpets seemed brand- new, as it was bright and stain-free. The bathroom was very clean, and there were plenty of towels. We had internet cable hook-up and cable tv. We had the usual expected ammenities, such as coffee and tea, shampoo and soap. There was a little refrigerator/freezer, a full-sized ironing board and an iron, and a hair dryer. There were washing machines and dryers on a lower floor, and plenty of vending machines. The hot water was non-stop. I enjoyed taking long relaxing showers after a complete day of sight-seeing. The free breakfast in the morning is enough to get you started if you're an early riser. There were cereals, waffles, fruit, and of course, fresh hot coffee. You can't complain about it, because it's free, and available each morning! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to get printed directions from them to help us find the nearest movie theatre. Newspapers were available to read in the lobby, and for purchase right outside the entrance, if you preferred your own copy. To top it all off, we were able to upgrade to a king sized bed, and only paid $63 a night! Now that's a bargain!

The hotel was very conveniently located to all attractions. Staff was very helpful with directions. Breakfast is good. Rooms were clean. Only dislike was other families had children running around dinning room and lobby and staff said nothing to the parents.
