Worth it in every way!
I've read other reviews about Comfort Inn Danvers, and despite some of them being very critical, my husband and I decided to take a chance on it. We stayed there May 5-12, 2007.
We appreciated the fact that it was located near the freeway entrances for convenience sake, and was amazed that despite it's location, it was still a quite and peaceful place.
Perhaps they had renovated since the some of the other people posted a comment, because are room was nothing like previously described.
It was clean, and spacious. The carpets seemed brand- new, as it was bright and stain-free. The bathroom was very clean, and there were plenty of towels.
We had internet cable hook-up and cable tv. We had the usual expected ammenities, such as coffee and tea, shampoo and soap. There was a little refrigerator/freezer, a full-sized ironing board and an iron, and a hair dryer. There were washing machines and dryers on a lower floor, and plenty of vending machines.
The hot water was non-stop. I enjoyed taking long relaxing showers after a complete day of sight-seeing.
The free breakfast in the morning is enough to get you started if you're an early riser. There were cereals, waffles, fruit, and of course, fresh hot coffee. You can't complain about it, because it's free, and available each morning!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to get printed directions from them to help us find the nearest movie theatre. Newspapers were available to read in the lobby, and for purchase right outside the entrance, if you preferred your own copy.
To top it all off, we were able to upgrade to a king sized bed, and only paid $63 a night! Now that's a bargain!
