Holiday Inn Salisbury Downtown, Salisbury

Staff was rude and no one in the hotel was happy - guests or staff. When we entered the hotel Orkin pest control was in the hotel. Room was OK but it was difficult to get the shower going correctly and the drapes would not close properly. Restaurant was not good - fresh fruit dish was horrible, water was awful tasting and we could not get bottled water or low fat milk. Omelet was not good either. Some of the menu items were not available either. Do go here if you want a healthy breakfast.

I am a Platinum Member I am in one of your hotels almost every week. Its rare that there is an issue and that's one reason why I stay at your Hotels. Unfortunately this was not a pleasant stay. I had worked a 12 hr day, I was traveling to Charlotte to stay at the airport. There was a delay in traffic I was exhausted and decided to get off in Salisbury. I went to the front desk, was given a room across the parking lot. I unloaded my bags and tools of my trade,I took them to my door opened the door to find the room had not been cleaned, bed unmade towels in the bathroom floor ect. I loaded everything back up drove to the front desk. The woman at the front desk said she was sorry that they had been busy the night before. I told her that not to know if a room was cleaned or not was ridiculous I asked for a suite to make up for the mistake. She gave me a room and told me it was near my room The room was 186 I walked up and down the outside of the hotel the rooms ended with 184. After 10 minutes of looking I drove back to the desk I was then informed that the room was on the end of the building in a corner all to itself. When I finally got into the room I found it to be dirty and Stains Cigarette burns in curtain sofa ect... Would never stay there again! Jeff Pope

I loved this hotel. The accomodations were beautiful and the staff was just lovely. They had no problem letting me check in early and called up the the room to make sure I was satisfied. The rooms were BEAUTIFULY decorated and had a very modern feel. The food establishment was delicious!!!! I enjoyed my expirience at this hotel a lot!! -

This was the worst place on the face of the Earth. It made me want to run for the hills not looking back, like the tale of Sodom and Gomorrah. The first thing that hits you when you walk through the doors is the smell, the stench of a french harlot. The staff are unfriendly and care nothing about your happiness or comfort. I witnessed one couple walk into the restaurant. They were taken to a table. It was filthy. When they asked to be seated somewhere else, the waiter refused to let them. That was really unacceptible, but what made it worse was the fact that when they complained to the front desk, the only response was "too bad." They didn't offer them a gift card to a resturant in town, a free night, nothing. If you plan on staying in Salisbury, try somewhere else. I think I'd rather pay a couple extra dollars than come home with bed bugs and roaches in my luggage.

Our family stayed here while visiting Salisbury U. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of pillows and a firm mattress. Less then 5 minutes to the college. A great value for $68. Only negative was service at breakfast was a little slow.

I stayed there for a baseball tournament and after a 5 hour drive to MD all I wanted to do was relax. When I got into the room it smelled funky. The sheets were damp. --- THEN --- when we checked out, the lady at the counter made a mistake and I was charged $55.50 extra for the room. After 3 attempts to get the price right (in total they tried to charge me $300.00 EXTRA). After it was all said and done, I was still charged $55.50 extra. It’s now been 3 weeks and I have left 5 messages on the GMs voicemail, and he has still not retuned my calls. Also, the restaurant said it closes at 9:00pm, last time I checked 7:30pm is not 9pm, and it should have been open. After my dealings with the front desk, and being ignored. I will never stay at a Ramada again.

The hotel staff was very gracious and accomodating. The hotel was clean and and well furnished. And the complimentary weekend buffet was good and filling. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends with confidence.

In planning travel from SC to MD for vacation, I found the staff very pleasant while booking my hotel. Unfortunately, plans changed, and I had to cancel, but I would like to say the staff was very helpful and pleasant. I definitely would call them again to book a hotel. I give the staff a award of 100% pleasant and very accomodating in my conversations with them.

Liked the location, close to campus and the river. Liked the quiet and the cleanliness. I will surely stay there when visiting my daughter at SU.

My family and I were on an adventure trip, and for this leg of the trip, had decided not to book anything in advance, so as to have more freedom in case we found something really nice. Hoping to come upon a nice hotel, we just kept driving and driving, and then night fell and we still didn't have a place to stay. After asking around, we were told at a gas station that the Ramada Inn was the best place in town, so to the Ramada we went. The parking was good, the hotel itself is pretty creepy. If I remember correctly, the doors to the bedrooms are painted pink. The whole decoration is disastrouos, if it can be called that. The rooms were ugly and not very clean, but there was just no choice. It was a matter of lumping it or leaving it. So, if you're used to 5 star hotels, definitely avoid Ramada, or the town altogether.
