Quality Inn Boardwalk, Ocean City

This hotel must of upgraded...reading other reviews I am shocked to even hear of anything negative. We didn't have a room, we were just winging it. Went to alot of hotels and this one was the best. Check in was a breeze. The girl was sooo nice and even let us see the room before booking it. They even took AAA. The room was very clean and large. We got Ocean front and had a great view of the ocean and the pool. It has a pool bar with very nice bartenders. We even liked the guests. The hotel is located perfectly on the boardwalk--- everything is accesible. And the beach is steps away. We have been to Ocean City a couple of times and by far this was our favorite place. Of coarse not much time was spent in the room. But I was very pleased and would suggest this hotel for business travelers as well as families and singles!!!!!!

I just got back from staying here the week of Labor Day. I was with a group of 21 and we were on different floors in the tower and everyone loved their rooms. As far as the rooms go we have no complaints and we all had balconies that faced the ocean...fantastic view. Located in middle of boarwalk..great location. Both outdoor pools were well maintained. The indoor pool was too humind we did not use. Also did not use hot tub as it did not look so clean. The only disappointing part was the meals in their restaurant. Breakfasts were good but dinners not so great. We are definitely going back again next year. We met someone who was booked in the old side and his room was awful but when he complained they upgraded him to the towers. And the bedding was fabulous. I slept better there than I do at home.

It was the most disgusting place I have ever encountered in my travels. I have travel the world and this place dose not even measure up to the less expenses flats in Paris. The carpet is so filthy you would not want to walk bare foot on it. The bathtub has mold around the tube and shower. On checking in the front desk clerk was very rude and nasty. The stay here ruined my entire vacation. The room was so unattractive and uncomfortable you could not relax.

It is expensive for the kind of room you get. Needs major repairs - carpet is filthy in the rooms, doors were broken, it was noisy from the people above us sliding their door back and forth. I asked the front desk and they were to take care of it - never did. The outdoor pool had cigarette butts in it, the exercise room has NO equipment and it is absolutely filthy. I would never get in their hot tub. There was a time when Quality Inn had a good reputation, which is why I chose this hotel. I don't think "good reputation" anymore when I hear Quality Inn. I'd never even take a chance on staying at another one because of this one. The only thing nice here is the lobby - makes you think you are staying in a nice place. Very disappointing.

My family, sister and her family and in-laws stayed in the rooms outside hotel. We had 3 rooms at the end. In-laws stayed in 3rd room to last. Their room was decent. As each room got worse. Our room was second to last it was better than my sisters room. Her room was falling apart. Appliances were falling apart. Rooms were nasty, they smelled and were suppose to be non-smoking, well the odor said different. The ceiling was sagging and stained. I was afraid the ceiling might cave in. The hotel itself seemed clean and nice. The indoor pool was nice, but out door pools were cold. Would not recommend staying here.

We stayed in a preimum room it was great. We were on the 9th floor and had a great view. We were greeted by baggage handles that un loaded our car and took everything up to our room. Room was big. Beds were good and the balcony was great. Can't beat it. Right on the boardwalk but away from the noise. Super time can't wait to go back. We stayed for 3 nights next time we are staying for a whole week. Yvonne & Gary Reading, PA

For the price of the hotel, I thought it was a good place to stay. I stayed for the fourth of july last year and was pleased with the hotel. The only thing that I was not pleased with was the parking which is understandable due to the holiday. But the hotel helped me out in that area. If you want to stay here, you can not expect a spectular room for the low price you are paying, but I thought the room was very nice and clean. If you are not going to be in your room a lot and do not want to pay a lot then this is the hotel for you! Great location!

Nice location for family fun. Is Within walking distance of several of Ocean City's attractions and things to do. Bike rentals right outside of hotel on boardwalk.

The service was very good, room just the right size for a family of five, the location was just in the right spot and all you have to do is walk or drive down the road to get to arcades and shops.

I would like to begin by saying that I have seen a lot of improvements at the Quality Inn Boardwalk over the last two years. The tower rooms have been gradually renovated (a few rooms get redone at the beginning of each year, starting in Early 2003) and the hotel seemed to be cleaner and better maintained than in previous years. I found the new shower they have for your feet to be very unique-it is concealed in a palm tree! We have stayed here since 1982 and have tried other places, but always ended up back here. The hotel has gone downhill since then, but I must say that things are getting better. The only complaint I have after this year's stay is that the indoor pool area, especially the unisex bathroom, could use some repairs and some major cleaning. Keep up the good work! We look forward to staying in a Premium (renovated tower) room again next year. I think that the entire tower building will complete its renovations in time for next summer. Some of the rooms haven't been redone since 1989, so I would say it's about time. I hope that this hotel continues to show improvement in the many years to come. It has come a long way from the 1990's, when the hotel really seemed to go downhill. Thanks again for making our stay great.
