Would not recommend staying here

The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant, but that was the highlight of my stay. I was on my way from Cape May south and found this place when the Holiday Inn Express said they would not take pets.
This is probably a 50+ year old, old Holiday Inn, and shows it. The room I was in still had the original bathroom floor tile, and grout and it was disgustingly dirty. The toilet seat had some weird surface and I really, really had to go, or I would not have used it.
The heater could not keep up with a 20 degree night, and the room was very cold. Turning up the heat to high and pegging the thermostat made little difference. The sheets were clean, but were wrinkled and looked like they had been left in a lump in the laundry.
The water must be from a well with heavy iron concentration.
I checked in about 9 p.m., grabbed a pizza, put on sweatpants and shirt and spent the night. If I could have found another place around there that didn't mind my dog, I would have left.
This place needs hundreds of thousands of dollars in renovations before I would recommend staying here.
