Village Inn of Annapolis, Annapolis

I called and made a reservation several days before I arrived. The person I spoke to on the phone sounded Indian and acted like he couldn't get off the phone fast enough. When I inquired about the rate I was told the rate was $60.00 for a single and it would be more for a double. I told him I only needed a single and he took my name. When I arrived I was told that I had no reservation and that the rate would be $79.00. I explained to him that I had called and made a reservation (I am sure he is the same one I talked to on the phone!!!) and was told that the rate would be $60.00. He said he would have to call the manager and get back to me. After he made the call he came back and told me that the only reservation they had for was for someone else, not me. Mind you he showed me his reservation information, it was simply a name and date on an INDEX CARD!!! When it was all said and done they would not honor the $60.00, so I left!!!!!

We made a reservation by phone for this place. It was the only place available for the days we needed a place to stay. My husband called to confirm the reservation about two weeks in advance just to make sure it was in place since we would not be able to find a room elsewhere when we got to Annapolis. One week prior to the trip, circumstances changed and we called to cancel the reservation. They could not find that we even had a reservation. Here is the best part...this place called our home around 1:30 AM to see if we were still taking the room. If this is the way they handle things, I am glad we never got to the point of actually checking in.

The staff was extremely rude while checking in, both to myself (the customer with a reservation) and another gentleman attempting to book a room. Due to the condition of the motel (not at all what was expected) and the nasty attitude of the staff members (both staff members were extremely rude), I canceled my reservation. Upon checking my account, I was billed anyways for the night. All-in-all a bad experience. I would highly recommend going anywhere else.

this place looks seedy, is not fancy but it's carefully maintained, clean, convenient to Annapolis without Annapolis prices (gawd save us), close to a liquor store and a restaurant. What's not to like ??!! For my needs and budget ,this was a find. I would happily stay there again.
