Well here is a mixed review. How was the room? Well it was ok. How was the beds? One uncomfortable; one ok. How was the cleaning staff? Great. How was the front desk staff? Good. How was the night manager? Horrible. How was the management in general? Horrible. How was the pool? ok. How was Damons? Horrible.
We stayed during the softball nationals. We stayed from a tuesday thru saturday. The same breakfast was provided EVERY day. Eggs, sausage, bacon, toast. Nothing exciting, nothing bad. We were treated to the hotel turning off the ice machines. Turned them OFF! Maybe they had a high usage because people were putting ice in their coolers to go to the field. Even if this was true, SO WHAT! The hot chocolate/coffee machine at the front of the hotel was turned off so it couldn't be used. The softball teams were accused of putting a virus on the business computer; my first question is aren't they safeguarding their own computer systems? High speed internet was iffy at best. I finally gave up and used my own aircard. If you want to go to the pool remember that the room towels need to stay in the room. We played by that rule; went to the pool only to find out that they didn't have any towels at the pool. The manager closed the Damons because the softball teams were overflowing into Damons as they were trying to enjoy the karaoke. Damons only had a few customers. The manager was RUDE to everyone. The bartender wouldn't make any Daiquiris (virgin or otherwise) even when it was for the softball parents; they were "out" even though I personally watched her make one and give it to one of the other customers. Instead of asking parents and softball players to clear the aisle, the response was angry yelling saying that he was going to "close up the place if everyone didn't get the heck out of the aisles". If the remainder of the team hadn't been at this hotel, we would have left. Disappointing at best.
