Worse place I've ever stayed in!
By Gracie, 4/25/10
Here I sit in room 204, almost the end of April and I'm freezing my butt off! I'm here for a 2 night stay, (thankfully tonight is my final night, too tired to find another hotel). I have no heat, I took a shower this morning and the darn thing was still on (but not full blast) When I called the front desk this am, he said the maintenance man would be right up. Yeah right, I had to be someplace and half an hour to 45 minutes went by and no-one came. Heater vents are broken, a lightbulb socket is messed up and the sink doesn't frain. The small coffeepot is nasty too. Dirty too...I should've walked out when I got here and started to really check things out, but I was tired from the drive. What a waste of money, please, do not stay here! Rate this place? Do I have to?

Flea bag
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/14/08
Never have I stayed in a more filthy disgusting hotel - you should be ashamed to have your name on it. We were first given room 115 - the only thing keeping the ceiling up in the bathroom was the green and black mold!!!! We then were moved to 223 - the phone did not work, the box spring was FILTHY and there were BUGS in the bed. When we went to the front desk, the was apathetic...NO APOLOGY. We insisted that she call the manager and she needed to call around and find us a room (this was at 11pm.) She grudgingly started calling...we ended up finding one ourselves in the end. The manager finally appeared an hour and a half (12:30) later...again NO APOLOGY, totally apathetic...I insisted that he call the hotel (The Sheraton 4 points, a mere 20 dollars more than this hotel we discovered)and pay for the nights accomodation. The front desk clerks children were waiting in the lobby, dirty, greasy and feet up on the seat and his comment was you must not travel much if you aint seen bugs before to which I replied..I have travelled to every province and territory in Canada, 40 states, and extensively in Europe, Mexico and Africa and this WAS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN...his genius reply was that a bite or two would not bother you. Obviously the credo of this hotel - we were so itchy and creeped out, we scratched for days - putting all of our clothes in steaming hot water as soon as we got home. I have pictures if you would like to see.

Lord have Mercy

Horrible, dirty, sink didn't drain. NEVER will stay there again. I would have left, but all motels were full in a 50 mile radius. Worst place I have ever stayed or been in. Dust and dirt. Allergy grounds.

Last resort
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/06
We had reserved for two, but at the last minute we were four. So when we checked in she charged us $20 more each, that didn't make sense so I told her, and she answered if we didn't like it, we just had to go back to Canada. Before we had finish checking in, she turned the T.V. on . How rude can you be. The rooms are very old and don't look like the pictures.

Alright for the price
By jason, 8/22/06
I stayed here just for a stop over on my way to sugarloaf. It is what you would expect from a cheap motel, no big frills. The only really bad thing I have to say is that, all night there was an annoying ticking sound coming from the heater system or something, but besides that it was alright.

Unhappy traveler
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/05
I did not like this hotel. The people were rude. The rooms had problems and not once did the hotel manager even acknowledge the fact that I was very inconvenienced by the series of problems that occurred. For example, I went to turn the shower on, and the knob fell off and water went everywhere. That was just the beginning. At one point, someone from the hotel walked into my room when I was in there, in the late afternoon!! I couldn't believe it. I don't even know why he came in. The only good thing about the hotel was the location - near downtown Bangor, and not too far from Acadia National Park.
