Holiday Inn Bangor, Bangor

I have stayed here many times my company insists on using it for some reason despite all the problems we have had. It is very dirty. Rooms are dated. Non-smoking rooms mean little here as they locate them adjacent to smoking rooms and it seeps in through the large gaps at the door jams. Collegues have reported seeing cockroaches. I haven't but I have seen the roach motels hidden behind the furniture. Service is very poor. We had to wait over 2 hours for our rooms at about 3am they had resold our rooms even though we had a guaranteed late check in and the rooms were billed to our corporate already. The desk clerk did not appologise. She made derogatory comments about the earlier clerk for putting HER in this situation. Certainly no offer of a free breakfast or some other sort of compensation for the 2 hours we spent waiting in their dated lobby. Typical of the service I've experienced there in the past. The chicken wings in the restraunt are good though.

We arrived at 10 am, and inquired if there were any rooms available. The very nice desk clerk informed us there were none available at the time, however, if we preferred, we could go shopping, and they would call our cell phone as soon as a room became available. Approx. 30 min later, we got the call. We checked in, and enjoyed the clean indoor pool, hot jacuzzi, and excellent dining room. It was the highlight of our 1 week vacation. The room was clean and well equipped. Staff were superb, especially the front desk. Free coffee in the lobby, two pools, jacuzzi, restaurant, and a dunkin donuts on the adjoining lot. I will DEFINITELY stay here again. We are VERY satisfied customers.

I did not have an enjoyable stay. The staff was quite rude (but not to my husband)....I think they should be more professional...wouldn't want to send my husband up there alone, that is for sure

My short stay at the Holiday Inn Bangor was quite nice. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean and quiet. The facility is well maintained. The staff is friendly and very helpful. During your stay, you can use the exercise facilities at Gold�s Gym located next door to the hotel. I had a good nights sleep and left happy and content.
