Not Safe!!!
By Mark Johnson, 02/09/10
hotel allowed someone who was not in my party to get a key. he ate and drank from the mini bar and took a nap. Found him and asked him how he got in and said he just got a key from the front desk - he just showed his drivers license. Immediately went to front desk and they said they would investigate how it happened. followed up the next morning and there was no record of the complaint. followed up several times before general manager called and said it never happened. I feel very lucky that i wasn't robbed, raped or murdered. I didn't ask for any compensation from the hotel - i just wanted to understand how they could let this happen. I have stayed her many times but i will stay here again. I expect a hotel of this caliber to be be responsible for their employees actions. stay at your own risk.

DAMAGED MY CAR AND REFUSING TO FIX IT!!
By Bobbie, 01/14/10
Pulled into the parking garage Friday night and left my brand new 2010 Camaro with them to park. Checked out Sunday morning and when they brought my car out, it had a dent in the passenger side door. I freaked, filed a report and they took a picture and told me they would contact me after their investigation. Well, I got a call yesterday from the Manager of Transportation telling me that he didn't feel that the damage happened at his garage because his employess would have reported it. I asked him if he even asked the employees that were involved and he said "No, it was senseless because they would have reported it to me." So, he didn't investigate anything, he based his decision solely upon the fact that his employees didn't report it to him. On top of that, while I was seated on a bench near my car, I see a hotel employee walk out, look at the dent in my car and turn to a couple that was standing near my car and he said to them "I say we get the keys and see how fast we can get it to 100" and then laughs and walks back into the hotel, never thinking that I was the owner of the car. I already have a lawyer.

So much for the money! Beauty, class, and elegance
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/09
I have stayed in many luxury hotels and resorts. And for the price, this hotel is too good to be true! It is in a PERFECT location on Royal Street, directly behind Bourbon. It is within walking distance of EVERYTHING worth seeing and beside Dickie Brennan's, an amazing steakhouse restaurant. (If you are staying during Mardi Gras, request a room on the upper levels or not on the street, because it is obviously noisy.) The carousel lounge is quaint and original (a bar that spins like a carousel!). And there is no need to leave the hotel for breakfast- the buffet is pricey but phenomenal! They change the menu up and even if something was not on the buffet line- our wonderful waiter would make sure we got it anyways. Lastly, Spa Azria was not overpriced and very luxurious. All in all, this hotel is super clean and classy and the staff is very accomodatng. This is the only hotel in Nawlins I will ever stay in!

Very elegant, but not all that great!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/09
This hotel looks very elegant when you first see it because it is very detailed from the outside. When you walk in the lobby and the carousel bar, they are very elegant and clean. All of the flowers and plants in there are real! But when my husband and I went to our room, on the 10th floor, we were not pleasantly surprised. The carpet was very dirty and it smelled. The couch and chair in there had some nasty stains on them. And like someone previously said, when they clean your room they will sometimes just pick your dirty towels off the floor and fold them back up so you can reuse them. I also didn't like that there are some guys outside that are supposed to open the door for you, but i had to open it myself most of the time because they walk around and talk to other people instead. Oh, and when you open the fridge in the room, don't pick anything up because it will automatically be charged to your accout. It is very expensive to get a drink in there.
