Crowne Plaza Executive Ctr, Baton Rouge

I had a wonderful stay here. The location is central to everything in Baton Rouge.The remodeled room was very nice with a great shower. The pool was quiet and relaxing. The hotel offered a lot of special extras.

I stayed in this hotel 5-16-08 and this is what I encountered: 1. Barking dogs in the room across the hall. When I complained, I was told this is a pet friendly hotel, and these persons paid $25 extra to bring their pets. I suggested that some floors be desinated for pets and some not, and I was told that all floors are for people with pets and given a very stern look. I did not converse any longer for it was obvious this "suit" did not know how to respond. 2. A.C. was very noisy 3. Closet door was missing 4. Bath towels were stained 5. Carpet was not clean The housekeeping staff was friendly and courteous, but they could not get action from the front desk. Bottom line - I don't like the idea of sleeping where pets have slept, so I will know now what to ask before I check in.

Employees very friendly, someone even brought us a cart and helped us get our stuff from our car and brought it all the way to our room. The lobby is beautiful, the pictures here doesn't do justice. Very clean rooms. The bed is to die for. It is more comfortable than our own at home. We would go back just to sleep. It has a pillow top mattress and also another padding on top. Very soft. Great food. It was delivered straight to our room. Nice work out area. No complaints at all. We would absolutely stay there again. Oh, just one thing i want to mention, please bring your own shampoo if you don't like the mint smell. The shampoo/cond. soap smells minty. Not my favorite. The only thing i wondered about was why do they have animal treats for you to give animals free in the lobby, but no mints or anything for guests. I was concered first at the thought of pets in the hotel, but once i got there, there was no problems at all. They stay on the 2nd floor, guests without pets are on different floors.

I spent a romantic evening at this hotel and I absolutely enjoyed both the service and the accomodations. The beds truly are the best in Baton Rouge and the room was roomy and clean. The bathroom, while a little on the "typical run-of-the-mill" kind, was clean and well stocked. There were plenty of amenities and offerings to suit our needs AND wishes. I truly feel as if I got my money's worth. I'd most definitely stay here again. Don't make the mistake of not doing so also.

Scrolling sign in front of the hotel advertised best beds in town, plazma TV's, great gym. Gym is amazing, beds are not at all comfortable, only place i saw plazma TV's was in the bar. Room stunk, towel holder falling off of the wall, ants in the bathroom. Room in need of a good cleaning. Complaining resulted in a negative ZERO even after complaining to the manager. The room was $130/night before taxes and other charges -- had the room gone for $50, the state of the room would have been OK, but for $130 it was not. ***** Be aware that this is a Dog Friendly Hotel!!!

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I thought the air conditioning unit in my room was a bit loud but it kept the room comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I was given plenty of pillows - one of the best I have slept in. The location was very convienient. I would probably stay here again if I were to go back to Baton Rouge.

This Hotel does not honor or advertise rates accurately please be careful when booking. Was not given an accurate quote and customer service was unable to access computers for any help in the matter. Staff was incompetent to help...

After our beautiful wedding, we headed to this holiday inn to stay the night before flying out the next morning to go to our honeymoon in Charleston, SC. When booking, my now husband asked for the nicest room with any specials that they had for newlyweds like: champagne, roses, strawberries, etc. NOTHING! Even when my husband offered to pay extra (the room itself for the night on the top "special" floor for 1 king bed and basics over $200)still NOTHING, NOT ABLE TO BE DONE, ETC! When we got there in our limo, bell hops were great and very helpful. The front staff not so helpful. Arrival time was about 9:35pm. After settling in, we call to see about getting a Dr. Pepper or something to drink, the "special" level facilities were closed (we were told for the first time)and if we wanted something, food service couldn't deliver b/c it wasn't ten dollars or more, so "you can just come down stairs to the coke machine if you want something" per the front desk. The Bathrooms of our special room were very small and dirty. And our "special view" out our window was the roof top of another building. All in all, my husband and I (who are from baton rouge) have seriously discouraged others and will never return. The Staff was also reluctant to keep the children on "our special floor" from running up and down the halls and knocking on doors when called. Needless to say, we were heartbroken that our first night as a married couple was ruined. Also no apology was offered. By the way, the SC hotel that we stayed in for less than this one was incredible, accommodating, and full of fun "specials"!
